Another great weekend at Rausch Creek in the books.

Congrats to Dom and Justin for making it up "Jotter's Way". That's one NASTY climb.

It's going to take me awhile to post pictures and video's. Have a sports car meet next weekend that I have to get ready for.

Yea....I miss Red. It got a lot more ground clearance than the Rubi and better suspension. With the PW, I had one maybe two lines to choose. With the smaller Rubi, I can choose more lines through something. Love the lockers in it. Hit the switch and they are locked. No waiting or dancing to do.

Driving a diesel offroad is a bit different than a gasser. With the 4 to 1 transfer case. In drive, when it shifts. It will snap your neck. With the 8 speed auto. I spent most of the time in manual mode. Start out in 2nd. In 1st, it's just too much torque. One rock climb, I put it in 1st and idled right up it without touching the loud pedal and no lockers.

So far, I had added White Knuckle sliders, Dana nodular iron diff covers. Rusty's Offroad, and Rock Hard suspension skid plates. Each skid has been kissed by a rock multiple times. 3 rims have rock rash on them. Have a Banks Derringer waiting to go on. That should put me over 500 ftlbs of torque. Next mod is a 2.5" lift, followed by 37" tires.

You'll love that. Highly recommend a full skid system too. I like the Artec having a fuel filter access door, keyed flush fit, and an added crossmember.

Next Ventures has optional UHMW pieces that are cool but you loose that in ground clearance.

If those are too pricey there's a new company trying to branch out in America from Israel. Asfir 4x4, their kits are just over $1000

Been looking at the Next Ventures skid plate. For mod, the 3.0 Fox shocks. Rock Jock control arms and track bars. Clayton diesel 2.5" spring. either Raceline or TrailReady beadlocks. Tires, 37" MT - Coopers, Generals or Super Swapper IKOC's. LoD shorty front bumper. Rusty's rear bumper. Warn 12,000 Zeon winch.
