Bummer too as I've never wheeled with other Power Wagon owners. I'm always the "big guy" on trips! LOL

SWEET!!!!!! Make a build thread and take a ton of pics! This sounds like a hell of a build.gsbbear wrote:It likely won't be done by then Pit Slave. I just started tearing it apart two weeks ago. it's a fairly complicated build so it will take some time and several steps. I am sure the drivetrain will be done by then but after that I have to fabricate the flatbed, body armor etc. Then the electronics after that. it's just time consuming when one has a fulltime job also!If I'm close enough with it I could rip down there for a few days. But right now I need to get it done and on a shake-down trip before August 1st.

I may not make the journey this year either...as our hours were cut from a scheduled 50HR. work week to a 40HR. work week. And man I tell you...a 40HR. overtime cut is huge when your the sole provider. I really have to budget now! Looks like some White Knuckle Sliders are getting further down the list of priorities...RustyPW wrote:Hate to say this. But I got a change of plans.New wife had surgery today.
So she will be recoving from that. Cooper, my oldest golden retriever has cancer.
He had surgery last week. He's recoving. No kennal will board him until he is fully recovered. So I can't bring the PW out. But we (the wife and 2 goldens) will be there on Thursday with the motorhome to meet you guys.
The wife has family in Co. and NM. So we are using my vacation time I scheduled for the Moab trip to visit her family.
Damn buddy. Hope the wife and dog recover just fine. Time to move to NM now.RustyPW wrote:Hate to say this. But I got a change of plans.New wife had surgery today.

We've been talking about moving to Az or NM when I retire in about 2 years. Now have one stepson in Bloomfield NM, one in Colorado Springs, and one in Bailey Co.ldgregory wrote:Damn buddy. Thinking on the campground on the north end of town. From there. We can ride the jet boat up and down the river at night.BigRed2007 wrote:Sorry to hear that Rusty. Where are you parking the motorhome? Where is anybody else camping? Anyone brining a dog?
Planning on being in Moab on Thursday. Usual dinner at Eddie McStiff's with the guys.BigRed2007 wrote:We are leaving Colorado Springs Thursday afternoon. Maybe we can link up Thursday night somewhere.
Sucks you won't be there brother. But it's for a good cause. You'll be in the same city and we can get together more frequently!!!SilverWagon05 wrote:Well, I hate to say this, but, I will not be joining you all this year.I'm going to be moving and going through a job change over the next few weeks and I just can't fit the trip in to the mix. Never thought I would have to say that, but there is no way around it. I hope you all have a great time, be safe and I'll definitely see you next year.
