It likely won't be done by then Pit Slave. I just started tearing it apart two weeks ago. it's a fairly complicated build so it will take some time and several steps. I am sure the drivetrain will be done by then but after that I have to fabricate the flatbed, body armor etc. Then the electronics after that. it's just time consuming when one has a fulltime job also! :D If I'm close enough with it I could rip down there for a few days. But right now I need to get it done and on a shake-down trip before August 1st.

Bummer too as I've never wheeled with other Power Wagon owners. I'm always the "big guy" on trips! LOL

I am hoping to upgrade my tires before the trip and would love to do 35's, but from a lot of the posts on tire say the 4th gen can't with out a lot of other work or up grades.

Mine is a 4th gen and I ran 35's until I started this build. A simple leveling kit is all you need. They fit just fine!

Well uhhh errr okay. I'll try. I'm not very good at taking pictures and I also am not much for "showing off". But I'll try! I'm more of the "kid in the back of the room" kind of person.

Hate to say this. But I got a change of plans. :( New wife had surgery today. :( So she will be recoving from that. Cooper, my oldest golden retriever has cancer. He had surgery last week. He's recoving. No kennal will board him until he is fully recovered. So I can't bring the PW out. But we (the wife and 2 goldens) will be there on Thursday with the motorhome to meet you guys. :D The wife has family in Co. and NM. So we are using my vacation time I scheduled for the Moab trip to visit her family.

I may not make the journey this year either...as our hours were cut from a scheduled 50HR. work week to a 40HR. work week. And man I tell you...a 40HR. overtime cut is huge when your the sole provider. I really have to budget now! Looks like some White Knuckle Sliders are getting further down the list of priorities...

Thinking on the campground on the north end of town. From there. We can ride the jet boat up and down the river at night.

Me, the wife and both dogs are staying at Portal RV Park. Just north of town. Almost everything is booked up. We wanted to stay at Canonlands RV Park in town. But they have been booked up since the beginning of March.
