Blackvue Front & Rear Camera

Post by AceMan » Mon Jun 22, 2020 12:30 pm

I ordered and loosely installed a Blackvue DR900S 2 channel (front and rear). The wires are just hanging there for now, until I run them and hide everything

It came with an 8GB card, which only handles about 2 straight hours of operation. That disappointed me because i wheeled last weekend and lost all the wheeling footage, even with their Cloud service, which only handles about 10 GB of data. Funny about their cloud service, you must be near a Wifi source to upload data. I think it's a waste and may cancel membership.

I ordered and just received a 256GB card (USD $180!!) and installed it. So far, it looks good. I'll post some pics later when i pull some footage off it.

Perhaps if you turn on your mobile hotspot on your phone it will upload to cloud that way. Better have unlimited data plan if your going to do that though.

But then again, the cloud data being 10 Gigs, not sure how much 4K video can be uploaded.

I've got the DR650 dual channel and it works well for me. Not so much for the action cam stuff but the price of mind.

I'm a big fan of there dashcams and will probably get the 900 series in my next vehicle.

Good info about the cloud feature.
