I am wanting to install some light pods in my rear bumper and just wire them up so when I put it in reverse they come on. What would be simplest way to wire them? Thanks

Reverse wire on the 7 pin wiring harness is what I did for some Rigid diffused pods.

Do you remember the wire color and it looks like it might be the middle wire does that sound right

I'd wire them on their own circuit with the reverse light triggering a relay or on a switch in the cab. The center pin on 7-pin connector is supposed to the aux/back up light connection. Not sure of the wire color, probably, blk, yel, or purple

Have you considered a reverse lamp upgrade? Headlight Revolution has 1,000 lumen LED upgrade bulbs for $89 a pair. Plug and play right in place of your current bulbs.

I had already done some cheap e bay bulbs and they were quite a upgrade.

Rigid sells a wiring kit just for this. Has a 3 position switch. Off, on, and auto which makes them work when put in reverse.
