POV Cameras

I was wondering what anyone is using for their POV camera, for wheeling or whatever. Mine is a bit dated, it's an Epic Stealth Cam. It works ok, but was interested to see if there is any one type that is really great. Right now, the GoPro Hero 3 black edition looks good, but the videos I've seen look to be a bit fishbowled. I'm heading west in a couple of weeks and thought it might be cool to film some stuff.

GoPro II for us - does a decent job, has lots of options available too. With multiple settings for width, you can find one that's not to fish bowled.

Yeah I'm thinking of purchasing a go pro also. Just not sure which one.

The video on Martin Canyon (Smiley Rock Trail) in this post was done on our GoPro at the 127 deg width setting.

I''ve been using the GoPro3 Hero Black with no problems other then I need a new computer to use all of the camera's features. Here's a good forum for the GoPro.

Thanks for the feedback, looks like the GoPro will be the next camera of choice!

I pulled the trigger and ordered a GoPro Hero 3 Black. Tried it out this weekend on my mountain bike...I like it! The video quality is sick! It performed well adjusting to changes in ambient light, moving from single track in the woods to open areas on fire roads. Next, I'll try it out with my Jeep. Looking forward to that trip!

For a better picture outdoors. Use a polarized lens on it.
