Re: Winch no worky

Good "fix" on the winch. Nice to DIY and it works.

Now for the big question...do lockers work? :D

Re: 2005 bypass cable instalation help needed

I GIVE UP. Unable to make any progress. Have no ideas on what to do. Afraid further attempts will damage wires/connector.

Just put everything back in place . Wife says "Leave well enough alone." "Your right dear", my reply.

Re: 2005 bypass cable instalation help needed

The little tab under the top jaw of the pliers is what locks it together. Now when it is in your vehicle it's not easy to see it. Also the connector is full of wires. You may need to loosen up with some yoga before trying this. Great photo. Will I get it off Sunday? The soap opera continues..... :do...

Re: 2005 bypass cable instalation help needed

I will give it another try . Was trying to push it up rather than squeezing it for the most part. NOTE: This is NOT a cable problem or bad instructions/ photos. The connector is up under dash. You can see it but hard to get to. Only room for one hand and maybe a few fingers! Would be a 5 minute job ...

2005 bypass cable instalation help needed

I am installing the ABLE 2005-2009 locker bypass kit. Tried to get connector C137 apart today  This is under dash near main harness/computer. Instructions said it would be difficult , it was. My truck is an 2005. I'm thinking other years would be the same. Tried to remove connector from side ...

Drove it and used 4wd and lockers for the last six days. :P
That’s an amazing week if 6 out of 7 days you were in 4wd and using lockers. Had the Power Wagon in its natural habitat haha 😂
The first 5 days were spent trying to get the front locker to work.

Filled it up with gas. So I can get my 13.3 MPG on the freeway. :excited:

But at $2.39 a gallon it's worth it.

Re: 2006 Dodge Ram Power Wagon Title

A note about rear locker not engaging: There is a trouble code set when this happens. The problem is that you may need the dealer to pull that code. Now your are out $75-100 to tell you that. On my last failure I was able to buy the locker assembly for around $350(?) on the internet. Another member ...

Dealer did first one under warranty. I've paid for two already and now it is out again. It's an '05 with less than 80k miles.

Re: Missing smart bar

My SERV light just came on again along with flashing RR light. I've already replaced rear locker three times. I think sway bar still works. Good news is I moved to Florida last year from southern Cali. Don't think there is any use for lockers here anyway. Black tape will cover lights and call it a f...

Some recent engineering grad probably has metric threads on one piece matching to SAE on the other side. This allowed saving 49 cents per part also.

Good news is you won't be concerned by low gas mileage.

I went to the MECUM auction in Florida this week. Dodge had their "Thrill Ride" display with Hellcat powered cars giving rides. It was quite the show.

Smoke smell can be controlled. I would be looking at other things: lockers working, winch working, tranny shifting, a/c, heater, leaks, brakes, tires, Carfax history, in a flood?, any service history.....!! I know I left some things out. :secret: Would be hard to make a suggestion without more...

I've got an 05 also. Bought it new. Single cab/long bed.

The power wagon VIN numbers on the 05's were numbered in sequence. I think it was the last 5 numbers if I recall. Mine is 992.
