Re: 10.5 to 11.5 Rear Axle Swap?
Good points all around! Can anyone confirm if the width was always the same on Ram 2500 10.5/11.5 rear ends?

Re: 10.5 to 11.5 Rear Axle Swap?
Great thanks! I was just reading other threads about the bypasses and was hoping you'd chime in! Good to know. Sounds like I'd need a 6 pin repair connector to plug into the 14+ axle and would need to either modify/splice my existing truck wiring, or potentially build a small adapter of sorts. I'm h...

10.5 to 11.5 Rear Axle Swap?
Not wanting to hijack another thread, figured I'd start a fresh one. The fact that I can't put 4.88s in my 2012 is leading me to think about this. If I could source a full rear 11.5 from a 2014+ power wagon, how doable would this be? I'm thinking I'd have to cut off all the extra bracketry from the ...

Re: 4.88 vs 5.13
I want 5.13's. But it's not going to happen with the 10.5 rear. :box: I would have to swap to the 11.5. :cash: I hear you! I love my 2012 and want to keep it for a long time, but dang I wish I had 4.88s in it. I'm seriously thinking about looking into a 11.5 swap. Need to do some research. ...

Re: The "Real Reliability"
I was worried a bit at first going from a Toyota to a Ram, but my 2012 has really impressed me. ~50k miles and has been 100% trouble free. As others have pointed out, every make/model will have a couple things that are inconvenient, a little flaky, etc. But your post (and a similar complaint thread ...

Re: Toyo Open Country R/T vs Open Country A/T II
I've actually been pretty impressed with the RTs. I siped them for a little better performance on icy/plowed roads. I have about 15k on them so far and I'd say getting another 20k will be easily doable. No doubt, with the siping, they'll be chunked to hell and back by 35k or 40k miles. Largely as I ...

Re: Frustrated with 2012 PW design flaws and repeated fixes
Man, I'm almost afraid to say anything and jinx myself. My '12 has been essentially perfect so far. Only 45k miles and not a single problem other than a simple recall. Though this thread has been useful as I'll make a mental note of a couple of these possible issues and their remedies, etc.

Re: Max tire size for chains
I was thinking of picking up some of the Security Chain Company SZ486's. If I recall, folks on here said that the low profile of these works well on most rigs/tires, even with the 35s and 37s in 12.50 width, etc. Granted, they're not very aggressive compared to a hefty v-bar style, etc. But might be...

Re: Fed up!!! (More dura trash)
A few thoughts from a fellow WY'er. My 2012 started with the BFG ATs (not the new KO2). I changed to 35 Toyo RTs a while back. Goods: Looks much better :-) 33s just look tiny on these trucks. And good, extra clearance under the diffs, etc. Toyos much more rigid and heavier. Along with a Thuren track...

Re: Easy way to fix driver's side lean?
Ah, good tip. Didn't think to check that. I installed new control arms myself and had it aligned at a decent shop. I'll try to take a look! Probably wouldn't hurt to have it rechecked anyway now that it's all settled in after several thousand miles.

Easy way to fix driver's side lean?
As seems common, my driver's side on my '12 is almost an inch lower at the fender height than the passenger. New springs in the front helped it a touch, but that's what I'm left with. I don't mind the spring rate, etc on the factory PW springs, and almost hate buying new springs in back just to leve...

Re: Towing Capacity
Have a buddy that towed ~10-11k loaded bumper pull a couple times around here with a '11 PW and ultimately (and sadly as he loved it) chose to trade up to a diesel. He said the stability with weight distribution, etc wasn't bad but the 5.7 was just enough to keep it moving, of course rev'd like heck...

Re: Tires
Toyo RTs work great on ice sipped with high pressure and great in snow when aired down. Nice compromise tire. I'm finding the same thing. I haven't put them on super terrible ice yet, but especially in 4 with some weight in the bed, traction on snow/slick roads seems to be quite good. Especially ma...

Re: Another Airlift 5000 Ultimate/Daystar Cradles Install
Nice! Is there a reason you guys are going with the Airlifts instead of the Firestone kits? Not sure if I missed it or if it's the only option on 14+ trucks. I have a 2012 that I'm really thinking of putting a set on

Re: Brake pedal shakes violently on washboard road ?
My '12 has always done that. Like you said, washboard roads especially, sometimes you hit just the right frequency or vibration and you can feel the whole pedal set rattle a bit.

Re: Upper Control Arm Play
I have a 2012 PW, and have Thuren's arms on my truck. The UCA on my drivers side also was a little loose. I tightened the bolt/nut, and it hasn't made any noise since. Just like you, I could grab the arm and wiggle it, moving it maybe 1/32"-1/16". This was on the axle end of the joint. I say tighte...

Re: Upper Control Arm Play
Thanks! I just went out and did some more testing/looking. I found a point with a jack under axle that I can induce the most amount of play and looked close with a flashlight, etc. The pivot ball appears to be very tight and no visible play. The actual joint however has a lot of slop/play in it. Pro...

Upper Control Arm Play
I finished installing a bunch of Thuren parts and everything went on really nicely. However, my driver's side UCA wiggles a touch. Occasionally, even with weight on the truck, you can yank the arm and feel a "thunk thunk thunk" back and forth wiggle at the frame end. I've re-torqued it a couple time...

Re: Trackbar install questions
So far so good. I torqued it all down seem to have no play in anything. I did some test driving and on washboard type bumps I sometimes feel almost a little clunking feel, but I torqued everything super tight. I wonder if it might just be the new rigid suspension and bushings transferring shock and ...

Re: Intune i3 vs i2010?
Sean pointed out that it has a more durable case, but's essentially the same device. It's apparently a little faster and can do multiple vehicles, the latter being unimportant to me. I may shoot for the newer one just for long term supportability and new features, etc. I'll update everyone either wa...

Intune i3 vs i2010?
Just about to buy the i2 with hemifever tuning and saw that apparently it's end of lifed? Does anyone know if the i3 does anything more worth paying for? How good is Diablo at supporting new products? I'm almost wondering if I'll get better support in the future if I go with the newer unit. But othe...

Trackbar install questions
Got my Thuren control arms, shocks, and coils in. Oddly enough, both rear upper arm bolts came out without cutting or moving the exhaust. Coils went in nice, though I fought with the shocks a bit, mostly because once they extend they're a pita to deal with lol. So I got my trackbar adjusted and tigh...
