Re: CB's 2012 PW ST Build Thread
love the rock rails and the carli suspension youve installed just had a question about your bumper? is it still as easy as the factory bumper to access the block heater winch plug in for the remote and the free spool bar? i keep looking at a fab fours winch pre runner bumper but the uncertainty of ...

Re: Aluminess Bumper and Sliders Installed!
Looking great! Glad to hear your steering & braking weren't effected. Just curious what the OD measurement is on your slider main tubes. They look just right.

Re: Runied a perfectly good Laramie CTD
That's hilarious...it has a Power Wagon "Apperance" group. Poor spelling seems to be a pattern with these diesel "Powerwagon" tools. (Yes, intentionally left the space out of Powerwagon referencing the other recent diesel PW thread that's drawn so much attention.)

Re: Aluminess Bumper and Sliders Installed!
Looking great! Any change in how it brakes/corners with the little bit of additional weight of that bumper? Curious to see how the slider brackets mount to the body too. Post some detail pics if you can.

Rockin' a mall somewhere...
Anyone else notice on the 2nd guy's silver truck (with the Rock Stars on it) that the "Powerwagon" decal on the back of the bed is misspelled as one word and not two?
He obviously didn't notice or doesn't care. Too funny...he can go rock his rock stars elsewhere.

Re: 2012 Owners Manual-CALL TO GET YOURS!
Yep...that's it. All 700 some pages worth. At least it explains in detail what every owner needs to know.
I know it covers the 1500-3500 but still doesn't need to be so long. There is so much repetition in it. Oh well.
Hopefully mine shows up next few days.

Oh yeah...got tuned into them about 3 years ago. They're awesome. I'm mostly a Red Dirt/TX/Americana guy and these guys fit right in that camp as well as pure Southern rock too. Hopefully seeing them in TX in early March!

Re: 2012 Owners Manual-CALL TO GET YOURS!
With my '13 TrailHawk. I got a users guide and a CD. :( Sounds like Chrysler is doing this across the board then. Really unacceptable if you think about it, and especially for any 4WD vehicle. Let alone for one of the most specialized off road specific vehicles on the planet. Wish the newer trucks ...

Re: 2012 Owners Manual-CALL TO GET YOURS!
Posted this over on DT as well and myoung nicely pointed out the full manual is available for download on the owners site. No idea how I missed it before, but the link is right in there sure enough. Got it saved now.
Still looking forward to the hard copy from Chrysler too though.

2012 Owners Manual-CALL TO GET YOURS!
Thought I'd share an important item I learned from Chrysler customer service yesterday. I was way overdue in making the phone call to them, but I called to request an owners manual supplement specific to the PW I thought I'd heard was available upon request. Turns out there is no specific supplement...

Re: Looking at a 2012 Power Wagon ST, have a few questions!
Having bought a brand new 2012 ST back in April '12 that I'm sure is comparably equipped from factory (limited options on the STs), I'd say that's a really fair price. Keep in mind it's pretty much a 2012 left over at this point though. The dealer doesn't want to pay their "floor plan" costs on it a...

Re: Off Road Bumper and the Winch
I hear y'all, but I can tell you from experience that the addition of my ~200lb Ranch Hand (approx. 160 additional lb over stock) noticeably effected steering/handling/braking. I drove my truck a day or two with the new bumper & stock suspension before installing the Carli setup. Even though the act...

Re: Off Road Bumper and the Winch
The upside to leaving the winch in stock location is: A. very stout there, and B. tucked up high as possible to keep weight where it should be. Moving it farther out toward end of frame just increases the droop it creates (not to mention the heavier aftermarket bumper). I was adamant about keeping m...

Re: I want front molded OEM looking mud flaps
I put the Mopar heavy duty rubber ones on front/rear of my '12. See pics in my build thread. So far so good. The front isn't too long. It's rigid enough to catch mud but flexy enough to not break off if you brush across a rock/stump. These are also much more durable and lower cost than many of the ...

Re: CB's 2012 PW ST Build Thread
My Armorology sliders are finally on. Very happy with them. Came in at 65 lb per side. These were extremely difficult to get uniform to the body and side to side. Very labor intensive, but they nailed them. Ended up about a 1/4" tighter to the body than we shot for though. Powdercoating is a subtle ...

Welcome! Good to see another Utah ST, although I just moved from SLC to Ft. Collins, CO. Vernal is a tough place to keep a black truck clean. Haha Mine's white, and like you so glad it doesn't have red stripes down the sides. Yeah, pretty cool you can have a lot more room & comfort than you can in a...

Re: CB's 2012 PW ST Build Thread

Brief details: Inner/main tube 2" dia. x .120" DOM Outer tube 1.75" dia. x .120" DOM Frame mounts: 2" x 3" x .188" square tubing Welded to frame. Should be stout enough withou...

Re: CB's 2012 PW ST Build Thread
Agreed...neoprene by its nature will stretch & fit better but definitely not be as durable as Cordura.
Surprised Marathon touts Cordura as being 100% waterproof and non-porous though. Never saw that on their site. It's pretty water resistant but certainly not waterproof.

Re: CB's 2012 PW ST Build Thread
Thanks, and thanks for posting their link. Yeah, definitely not cheap but well worth it I believe. Pretty much the going rate for custom covers about anywhere you look though. At least they use real Cordura for that price where you don't really know what you'd get from others. (I've actually had rea...
