Re: Coil question for 4th gen
So after going over the front end I found 1 bushing that had very slight play, so I got a new set coming. In the meantime I upgraded the shocks all around to Bilstein 5100's since the painted ones from my lift were road rashed and rusty. Well it turns out as well as being ugly, my shocks were also a...

Re: Coil question for 4th gen
Never could find any actual technical info from either, I'm sure it's proprietary for their secret recipe, although the BDS shows a linear rate of 365, no idea how that relates to OEM or anything else. Also can't comment on these control arms compared to OEM. Like I said, when new it was surprisingl...

Re: Coil question for 4th gen
It is a full kit, has all the required components. It used to drive surprisingly nice when I first bought it, in fact that was one reason why I pulled the trigger. I made sure when I test drove it to take it down some rough back roads and really bang it around to make sure it wasn't a wheelbarrow. I...

Coil question for 4th gen
Long story with a quick question; I have a 2012 PW that I bought new off the lot with a 4" BDS short arm PW lift installed. 5 years later it's riding like a chuck wagon, a real spine buster, and washboard chatters your teeth. Coils have sagged some, want to replace with something other than the BDS ...

Re: Rear diff piled up. Dang it.
I don't think so. I got a glimpse of the parts list and it looked like they just rebuilt everything. Been checking it 4 times a day for leaks, looks good so far!

Re: 2013 Power Wagon programmers???
I had the same annoyances with the Trinity as Stickman, freezing, power drain when left in the vehicle, etc. As well I had to do the update tango to get everything working correctly, now it's all good. I was extremely disappointed that the TPMS functionality was not there for RAM 2500's but was avai...

Re: Rear diff piled up. Dang it.
Well I went to check up on my truck yesterday. Lady at the service counter said the warranty claim hadn't been completed yet, but she didn't anticipate any issues. So I got to drive my truck home without any hassle. They didn't have all the service paperwork complete, so she told me to stop by today...

Re: Rear diff piled up. Dang it.
I suppose I was a little concerned about the request of pictures. I've had a few large repairs on other vehicles warrantied before (had to get a whole new motor on my wife's '08 F150 at 50k 2 years ago) and they never hinted at not covering it. I think I'm mostly just a little choked that the diff c...

Re: Rear diff piled up. Dang it.
Air bags, also dealer installed. Can honestly say I've never even pumped them up past 10lbs. Have never really had the chance to carry or haul anything that heavy yet.

Rear diff piled up. Dang it.
Sorry but I have to rant a little. So depressed...... only 26,500km/16,500 miles and my rear diff on my '12 Laramie PW totally piled up on me. No previous issues or noises, took about an hour highway drive to pick up some parts the next town over, had to get towed home. As soon as I let off the gas ...

Re: How much of an issue is traction control on the '12s?
Good to know about the stopped/5 second deal. I was told at the dealership that even if you hit the T/C button, the traction/stability control would always be 25% active unless you were in 4low, no matter what. I first read about a similar problem with the 2010 or 2011 (can't remember) Dodge Vipers....

Re: Alarm System Thoughts?
I just had last years Viper flagship model security/starter combo installed in my 2012 (can't remember the model number at this point in time). It has all the bells and whistles, glass-break sensor, shock sensor, starter kill relay, blah blah blah. I liked it because of 2 reasons - 1 is (as far as t...

Re: New 2012 Laramie PW Owner
All I know for sure is its a BDS brand kit. Here's a link to the Power Wagon specific lift on the website, I would assume this is the kit the dealer installed. They said they would fully warranty the lift since they installed it, so I just smiled and nodded..... http://bds-suspension.com/prod...

Re: New 2012 Laramie PW Owner
Heres a few for a start, unfortunately they are terrible iPhone pictures. I'll add some quality ones once the accessories are on this weekend. It was a special order from the dealership with the decal delete. I think it looks good with the clean look, maybe throw some chrome door badges on later. Pi...

New 2012 Laramie PW Owner
Just another Ram junkie wanting to say hi! Recently purchased a new '12 Laramie Power Wagon and couldn't be happier. Came from the dealership with 5" lift, air bags, rims and 35's. All it needs is some mud flaps and some running boards so I don't have to clamber up the side hanging on to the steerin...
