Re: 05 PW overheating problem
Actually, I just didnt fill it up enough the first time. I just tested it after the 2nd fill and it is back to normal temp and I have heat. I am trying to avoid putting any money (replacing water pump) into this motor as want to add the 3.0 diesel or a new 5.7 with the 8 speed auto in it next year. ...

05 PW overheating problem
My PW has a minor leak at the end of the shaft on the water pump. It loses a little coolant in really cold weather, but I keep it filled. I also replaced the fan last year and can see it is working fine. But today it started heating up, getting about 3/4 up on the heat gauge. On mine it typically si...

Re: 2014 PW (or not)?
Will the new PW have the 8 speed ZF auto behind the Hemi? I dont know if it is rated to go behind
the 6.4, but it is behind the 5.7 in the 1500. That would help with mileage quite a bit (20%?).

Re: Your overhead mileage reading
I run synthetics in the axles and motor, and I never drive over 63 mph when on the hwy. I guess that is why mine is at 12.4. On the hwy I think I have seen it around 17. Oh and I run the factory size tires,
they are road tires not off road.

We have a new leader! I doubt I will be able to catch you either. I am only putting on less than 10k a year.Reagandickens wrote:2005 181,000

Re: Who has the highest mileage PW?
Wow! So right now I have the high mileage winner. And yes the original owner took excellent care of it, and I have continued the trend. When I saw it sitting for sale, I remember being shocked to look underneath and see a very clean underside to the bed and body. Anyway, my future plans for the beas...

Who has the highest mileage PW?
Mine has 170k on it. And it runs great. I am the 2nd owner, the first owner never took it off road. I rarely do. The axles lock and the sway bar disengages with no problem. Oh, it is a black 2005.
