Re: Thuren still in business?

Just got some Overland shocks from them. Got them delivered within a week to Florida. Free shipping. Email got answered within a few hours. How do you like the overlands? Thuren shipped them to me so I could get my other suspension comments on but they seem a bit soft in the rear. Sent from my SM-G...

Re: Thuren still in business?

Yeah the king shocks aren't his fault. They are almost a 6 month back order. According to a fellow airsteamer who specializes in cracking the suspension software on trucks it is because king moved to a new anodizing process.

Got the front end done today. New Thuren springs, Thuren trackbar, Thuren king steering damper and the temporary Thuren overland shocks plus a little bling by replacing the factory fog/side marker lights with the baja designs S2 pods. They make a huge difference. Really like the ride and the corneri...

Re: Peter's 2019 Power Wagon Build Thread

Thanks for the heads up. I may back it off as I did torque it to 160. Seemed really high but then again all the other bolts torqued up fine. Here is some more truck porn. Will be finishing it up tonight and take it for a drive then tow with it tomorrow. Will keep folks posted on performance. Going t...

Re: Peter's 2019 Power Wagon Build Thread

Got my Kings last week. Installed them yesterday. The valving is a 2.5. They're softer then what I thought they would be. The back is mostly installed. The rear track bar took some work and getting the truck high enough to let the axle droop to get these monster springs in was not easy. Need to tig...

Christmas came early this year: As Russ can attest to King Shocks are way backordered. Mine are still 10 weeks our however Thuren through in his Overland shocks so I could get my other parts installed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210412/db796938b249e619bf9aa635638596f5.jpg https://uploads.tap...

I will take a picture of the final product when I get home tomorrow. The winch mob part is flat but the product is 3 dimensional. There are two companies I am working with. One for this badge and one for a back lit ram lettering for the front. I will pull the names of the companies and contact info ...

I heard lubing them up real good and waxing them occasionally also works.

Moving away from the north and only crawling around malls is also helpful [emoji854][emoji14]

Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

We have towed our 7,200# travel trailer for years using just our WDH w 1400# bars. Several 3-5k mile cross country trips and no problems. Lots of the members recommend air bags as well though. Why did you go with 1400 lb bars? I am using 1000 lb bars and they work fine. I was told the 1400 lb bars ...

Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

I tow a 7500# Airstream with only WD on my 2019 PW and no airbags with no issue. Tongue weight is around 900 lbs. I had a hitch place adjust my bars so I am only getting a 1/4 inch lift in the front. Debated adding air lift but not there yet. Thuren actually talked me out of it and said WD should be...

Re: Aftermarket ball joints?

The Carli ball joints would be my suggestion on that rig. That said if you are at that mileage and the mopar ball joints worked that well why the hell not this another set in for half the price. If you spend the extra money on a new track bar from Carli or Thuren and and a king steering damper from ...

So shes been sitting dormant for 1.5 yrs! I am going to do oil change, tire rotate/balance, and run seafoam through tank at a good ratio(more than 1 oz to a gallon). Anything else I should be sure to do? I am getting a P0457 and P0456, replaced the gas cap, purge valve, and solenoid. Cleared codes ...
