Re: power wagon went onto it's lid at Uwharrie
I got the info now. Yes, the value is based off bids from the salvage companies. I would (in essence) be getting the truck back for $6500 (payout with them keeping the truck vs payout with me keeping the truck), looking at values of parts, I would have a more valuable vehicle than what I paid for it...

Re: power wagon went onto it's lid at Uwharrie
It was me that rolled. Swaybar was disconnected, lockers were engaged. The straight on outside video shows a lot quicker than actual speed, maybe something in how they edited??? Actual speed was like 2mph. Was definitely a dumb choice of line on my part. I was on the hard line and decided that it wa...

YUP! Yeah, I was going to give you the resonator but shipping killed that idea quick, fast, and in a hurry, LOL! Ended up just chucking it onto the scrap pile.

Re: 2012 or 2017??
I'd keep the 2012 personally! (that's what I'm doing!) But, if you think you're going to want a new truck anytime soon, get one BEFORE the new 2020 body style! Every leak I've seen of the 2020 body style has been absolutely hideous to such an extent that I am going to be pinching pennies to try to g...

Re: Kinzer Offroad Bumper
Really (from my understanding) the only issue that Mike really seemed to encounter was the quality/quantity of welds. If you have since resolved the weld issues, I honestly don't see his review as being that bad. Yes, certainly it would deter a potential buyer if you hadn't stated that the weld issu...

Well, I'm in Boise, I could just keep driving East... I've got plenty of beer, a pool, and am near some fun southeast wheeling spots! Heck, I'm only 2 hours from Overland Expo East and 1 hour from American Adventurist Appalachian Rendezvous! You know you want to come weld tons of things for me.... ...

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?
I think the AEV setup has its place. It's very good for a person who wants a warranteed lifted truck with big tires that'l do more than 99% of new truck buyers will have the stomach for offroad. I am very jealous of the ability to inexpensively (comparatively) push the front axle forward on the '14+...

Re: Kinzer Off-Road Bumper - Reviewed - Moab Tested
VERY disappointing to see the poor welds. Sorry to see this MikeKey. Especially a bummer since it's a good design at what would be a fair price (if the welds were better) and one of the only truly Wagon specific bumpers on the market. Good work DamageWagon fixing that hot mess!!!! I look forward to ...

Re: Why are there so many newer PWs being traded in so early
Fuel economy, towing, and the realization that maybe they don't actually need a burly offroad truck seem to be the top 3 reasons. I think it's more a sign of the increase in visibility of the Power Wagon. Up until recent years, our trucks have pretty much flown under the radar, the hidden almost off...

Re: AEV Onyx Black Saltas on a 15
I personally LOVE the Saltas!!!! Great choice! I really don't like the Katlas as much. I wish they would make Saltas for 40s, in addition to the Katlas. I very nearly bought Saltas for my off-road wheels (still 37s but consiserably more aggressive than my daily tires) I ended up going with cheapo st...

Re: Center cap wanted
I've got 4 of them from my Wagon! One is dang near brand new, bought it after I destroyed one. I haven't run them in quite a while. If you want them, I'd say $100 plus shipping??? Seems about fair for four, pretty much on the lower side of average from the pricing I've seen. Sorry but not willing to...

If I had to pick only one mod, it would be White Knuckle rock sliders!!! You'll have to come to the Uwharrie get together!!!! I will be posting up about it soon, I believe we'll have it in November so it'll be cooler for those that want to camp. A Power Wagon in stock trim can do every trail at Uwha...

Re: Thinking underneath the box, winch mount idea????
Dang, I see they built exactly what you've described but, I can't see where the winch cable actually routes out??? I see the winch skidplate, I see a Hawse fairlead, I see a hitch, and I see a high clearance bumper BUT, every shot of the winch mount is with it outside the truck on the ground or on a...

Thinking underneath the box, winch mount idea????
So.... as per usual, I have to take a simple idea and make it super complicated! I want to run a super high clearance rear bumper but I also want to run a rear winch and still retain a hitch. Every design I have come up with thus far has ended in pick any two: High clearance, Winch, or Hitch. ...

Re: Front King 2.5"s?
I accidentally ended up running front Kings and stock rears. Mine is a 2012 though. I have a Carli King setup and about 3 weeks after installing it, I ripped the rear shocks' reservoirs off on rocks on a trail. (one ripped off, the other nearly did) So, since then (almost 60k miles ago, doh!), I hav...

Re: Kinzer Off-Road Bumper - Reviewed - Moab Tested
The 775 looks great! But, I would never run a bumper with so little ability to see the winch spooling, with that second fairlead setup, I don't know how well you'd see the drum at all! Plus, looks like getting hands on the winch pug and lever would be difficult, even with those access holes. Also, I...

My criteria (no particular order): Easy manual and visual access to the winch Must be able to retain stock winch mount NO usage of a second fairlead of any sort Minimal protrusion Removable skidplate (that protects winch and swaybar motor) Bow shackle mounts tie directly to frame at 3-4 bolts per si...

Re: Kinzer Off-Road Bumper - Reviewed - Moab Tested
There is no accounting for taste and I think it looks kind of weird. I get the concept obviously but the lack of protrusion just looks a little off. Function over looks and all that but I'm not in the rock crawling crowd. It does seem to meet Mike's needs perfectly so in that regard it's a homerun....
