Re: Flashing locker lights

Here I am again. Just did the Abel locker bypass and it is working as expected. My thanks go out to David at Abel. I am amazed that he came up with this. Since the "service 4wd" light went out a few months ago I let this issue slide, but I really wanted to have the lockers working so I completed the...

Thank you Mule and everybody else. Great info!

Now I need to find the time to investigate.

What a fantastic forum.

Re: Flashing locker lights

Thanks Rusty, my worry would be that the swaybar unlocks and the lockers lock and then I can't reverse it. Perhaps the place to start is the smartbar connection. I'll have a look underneath and inspect the plug-in now I know where to look. Perhaps the axle connections also. I'm curious if there's a ...

Re: Flashing locker lights

Thanks Rusty. If I look under the front end can I see the computer on the sway bar? Is it a box or something that stands out? I contacted Abel Components and David got back to me right away. Sounds like I can bypass the smart bar/sway bar/computer? Does this mean the sway bar disconnect is fubar as ...

Re: Flashing locker lights

Boy, it's been a long time since I posted here, but I have the flashing locker switch/serv 4wd light problem. Are there any updates to the posted information. I'm not a mechanic and am no good with electronics. Truck is 2005 with low mileage. Could anyone explain to me what this smartbar is? That's ...

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?

Without question, 2005 is the best year. Why I haven't had to put more than a new battery in it in 15 years. Might need some tires here soon though... Just need to find a 2005 with about 5,000 miles on it and I would be all over it! [emoji38] I only have about 5000 per year... Sent from my SM-G965U...

Re: Finally got rid of...

Thanks guys. Like your red Leo. Couldn't find one when I bought in 2005. I'm really anxious about the snow performance, but they're guaranteed to be better than the BFG's. I don't consider these skinny at all. They're just not fat. It seems to me when I first started buying pickups stock was 235/85R...

Finally got rid of...

...the damn useless stock BFG's. Couldn't wait any longer. Replaced with Cooper ST Maxx 255/80R17. Very happy so far. Sorry for the dirt.

Re: Out With The Old, In With The New?

Don't sell it. You'll live to regret it.

You should be able to get a good deal on a new 1500 diesel to pull the camper. The engine is a winner, I have it in my jeep.

Keep both!

Re: light bar-front bumper

When I check the website, all I see is a big white screen with "We are taking a leave of absence" in black. Weird. Defiant's primary business is as a big muffler shop. They do a lot of custom exhaust work on street rods and such, but also have a BIG shop with lots of metal cutting and bending equip...

Re: light bar-front bumper

Excellent tips! I look forward to seeing if Defiant is still in business. That the defiant bar is so strong is a huge plus for me. I hadn't thought that some of these might ditch the tow hooks. That would eliminate them from my consideration. I indeed have one set of lights that are fogs that I woul...

Re: light bar-front bumper

Thanks for all the help. Your recommendations would all work, the Profab bar in the link looks like it would interfere with the winch though, or not? Am I misunderstanding or can you chose your tab spacing to suit your own lights? On the long flat designs, can you mount lights all the way to the end...

I'll follow up on those other leads, but essentially all I need is a something basic to hold the lights that won't interfere with the winch.

light bar-front bumper

Man I thought something was fishy over at DT... Just found where everyone went thanks to some clues left behind. On another note, I've been trying to find a light bar for the front that works with the PW. One that just bolts on the bumper and holds a few driving lights that presently have been gathe...
