Re: Double Cardin joint
I am about to do this same rebuild on my truck Picked up Spicer U Joints from George at 8 Lug Diesel and a center section from napa if I need it. Now its just a matter of doing it. Today or tomorrow I'll take pics as I do it. It's been as cold as -40 at times here so I am not excited about it. Suppo...

Re: Fog light upgrade w/pics
So, if I wanted to upgrade the factory bulbs in my headlights (for a 2012 4G model), what is THE BEST option. I don't want the complete assembly, just a plug and play option. Also, I might do the fog lights too, so please provide that information too. Manufacturer, model number and place t...

Re: Fog light upgrade w/pics
Ive had a chance to use the fog lights in heavy fog these last two mornings. Visibity is less than 20 yards for the most part. The HIR bulbs really shine well. I could clearly see into the ditches on the grid roads and on the highway farther than the low beams. I have never really cared for the desi...

Re: PW Chase Vehicle Build By NEO
the frame rails extend just past the intercooler. I will be mounting it off of there. On the pw it is just shoved back under. As far as making it work with the cradle, it will take alot of work i am sure but I will make something work. Lots of Pictures

Re: Fog light upgrade
Every parts store I went to looked at me like I was crazy when I first was looking. Even the employees at napa look at me funny. Only 2 of the guys actually went into the system to find the parts. Also John Deer is supposed to stock them. From what I have read most of the new tractors that dont have...

Re: Fog light upgrade
Yea the hir's are a great little known bulb. Everybody keeps thinking they want hid's but don't realize that in stock setups they are worse. In a projector they are good but in reflector they send light everywhere but the road. I once was dumb enough to have a pnp hid kit. Boy when I got smart and s...

Re: Fog light upgrade
got ya. Well at least this may help cross reference. IIRC the corvette used these bulbs in their high beams. Possibily the current one but I'm not for sure. I know they are using HID setups for the Lows

rallylights.com says 3000 lumen. They are 65w and kelvin seems right. That would be a sweet deal. I have my second one coming from napa tomorrow. $52 for one

Re: Anybody Into Long range Shooting
Wow! Congrats on the 1000 yd. shot. Not easy by any means. Have to take so much into consideration...coriolis, wind speed, trajectory, bullet weight, etc. Props  Have a friend that shoots 800 yds. with his Saiga 5.45. Can hit a person sized target. Would love to get into it but I don't have...

Thanks Silver and Sparks. Good to see you guys are still in real trucks. When it came to truck choice there was no way I was going anywhere other than a Dodge.
Spark I guess it's hard to have the best of both trucks eh. So now I need to build up my truck Closer to PW Specs.

Re: Fog light upgrade
9011 will fit the 9005 socket and 9012 fits 9006. if the 2012 uses the same as the older ones it is the 9006. But you can make a 9005/9011 work as well.

Re: Fog light upgrade
There is an aftermarket projector foglight you can get. Using the HIR bulb you can significantly increase the output passing even some HID's with a plug and play type bulb. The nice thing too being the halogen setup the filiment is placed correctly for the proper beam pattern. The headlight and fogl...

Nice setup. It is definatly a fun hobby. And the best part is it is very challenging. Once you really reach out so much comes into play. In theory it is easy but it is so not. Looks like you have a nice place to shoot at

Re: Fog light upgrade
No it isn't silicon. Just have it sitting loosely. It fits perfectly as long as you nip the one corner of the ear just a bit. And yes the black one is the new one. I took the truck out yesterday night to see. DUDE it was nuts. I actually turned the fogs off on the highway to pass vehicles. It is INS...
