Re: Towing 8K lb trailer, Air Bags w/Cradles or WDH?

I made a trip to Mesa, AZ from CO and towed my 7,000lb Coachmen Freedom Express travel trailer. I used my Airlift airbags in conjunction with my Andersen WD hitch. The Andersen hitch does not have bars and it does not transfer a ton a weight to the front. However, the anti-sway and anti-bounce is gr...

Re: Hemi Towing coolant and transmission Temperatures?

I just towed my 32' camper (7,000lbs approx) from CO to AZ for a vacation. 934 miles each way. I pulled some steep grades up and down from Holbrook to Mesa and the truck did very well. I also fought a ton of headwind on the way out. My coolant got to about 219 when it was 70 and running the AC. The ...

Re: Kenda Klever RT 35/12.50/R17E 121R

Just an update on the tires. We have had light snow and ice here, and even though these are not 3 peak rated tires, they do outstanding on icy road and snow. The overall ride is very good, and the mileage is doing better as well. The truck feels "lighter" when it is on the road compared to the STT P...

Kenda Klever RT 35/12.50/R17E 121R

I have been running my STT Pros for 20,000 miles and they started to become a little noisy and they were really not doing well in even a little snow and ice. Before they had been ok. Overall I really liked the look of the tires, but they were down from 21 to 12/32nds in wear. I really don't like run...

Re: Take a ride to my hunting camp in the Powerwagon

That sounds like a great time. I just got back from hunting elk, but I did more off roading this year than seeing elk. Oh well, it was fun to take my wagon on some snowy trails. It was a little colder than where you are, but fun none the less. Good hunting!

Re: Kanati trail hog review

Thanks for the review POk3s! I have been looking into some of the off-brand tires lately, and the Trail Hogs were one that interested me. How were they in snow? They seem to look a lot like the Duratracs, but the 3 ply sidewall interested me. I am running Cooper STT Pros, and they are wearing pretty...

Has anyone run these yet? I am starting to look for some new tires and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the ATIII?

Re: Overland shocks?

I have had them for a couple years and I drive in a similar fashion to what you describe. I do some off road trails and tow a camper in the mountains. I think they are a bit better than the factory shocks, but they are not that great at speed. However, I like you, don't do any go fast trails with th...

Re: Geolandar X-AT?

Starting to look at replacements for my STT Pros. I am debating on going to a more hybrid tire. Any of you guys running the X-AT had a chance to test it in some snow? I would like a little better performance in the white stuff and ice. I have loved the STT Pros so far especially off road, but I tow ...

Re: Rear locker working again......replaced!!

I had the same flashing rear locker issue. Flashing and no locking diffs. I had the mechanic test it and it appeared as though the actuator was out. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty for the truck. My mechanic is a great guy, so they did some other checking and my ball joints were not in ...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

The Monstaliner is rubbery when you put it on, and once it has cured it feels hard to the touch. It has texture from the rollers they have you use, but it is not gritty or really rough. It works great on my truck. It doesn't make the sliders super grippy, but it does add some texture. I will have to...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

IMG_3174.jpeg Other than having some dust and rain spots on it. I was thrilled! Now all my gravel rash is gone and the dent is harder to see. All total it cost me about $250 for all the mods in total. We are headed to Moab to get out of town in 2 weeks, so now the truck looks like a completely diff...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

After the prep work and cleaning. I had the wife help me with rolling on the Monstaliner. It was actually a lot of fun. I was unsure what it might look like, but again, I was very surprised. I did the sliders as well and put them back on. Now my truck has a new black textured look. IMG_3173.jpeg

Re: 2012 New to Me!

Now I had one project left. The side of my truck slid into a log during hunting season. It dented the bed just in front of the driver, rear wheel. There were some small dents in the corner of the cab and scratches too. I did some amateur body work with a body work hammer kit, and I got most of the s...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

Next, I started working on the bumper. I sanded it down and pulled it all apart. Then primer and Rustoleum bumper paint in the front yard. Since I was in the mood, I did some Rustoleum version of Plastidip for the rear emblem. I had never used this before, but I figured what the heck. My emblem chro...

Re: 2012 New to Me!

It has been a while since I updated my build sheet, so I figured I would add some of my recent changes. I kept losing the center hubs on my wheels, so I took them off. The aluminum wheels were a bit scratched, and I wanted to switch to black wheels after I switched my front bumper. So....I decided t...

Re: Swaybar moved to passenger side?

Thanks guys. I ordered the spacer plate and I will see what happens. I don't have any extra lift on mine, but I added a Thuren track bar. I set it the same as the factory one. I did add 315's so do you think the added height would cause that change?

Here is the picture from the passenger side from below. You can see the bar sticks out a great deal more than the driver side.
