Re: Transmission damage loading and unloading trailer.

Update: unhooked the trailer and drove the truck a couple places around town. Still had the same feel to it. I hooked the trailer back up last week, and chocked the tires. I put the truck in neutral, set the brake, then put it in park and loaded the tractor. Drove out and u loaded and did some bushh...

Re: Transmission damage loading and unloading trailer.

Very interesting thanks for posting! I’m guessing the park mechanism pressed on the roller piece and damaged it somehow.

Re: Transmission damage loading and unloading trailer.

It feels like that constantly now with nothing hooked up. Removed the trailer drove it a bit. Same result. Does the shift linkage operate via a cable?

Transmission damage loading and unloading trailer.

So yesterday loaded up a tractor and trailer, total weight about 8500lbs. Did not chock wheels and loaded with truck in park. When I went to drive away the gear shifter was very tight, and seemed to have no detents in it. The light moved appropriately on the gear indicator and the transmission seeme...

Re: Fuel tank not accepting fuel.

Not sure. I can run a fish tape down there and open the flapper and get one gallon in. At a time. They replaced both carbon canisters. Filter, canister vent hose and purge solenoid. It’s a 2012.

Fuel tank not accepting fuel.

So about a month ago I was filling up and the pump stopped after only putting in a gallon or less. I ditched pumps, tried multiple times etc. I managed to open the flapper valve with a coat hanger, and it burped fuel out but still would not take more than a little at a time. Also managed to get the ...

Re: Headers

So, the above mentioned paces setters are for 2wd only. I ended up going with the JBA’s after speaking with a guy named Dustin there at JBA. He said that they quit marketing them for these pickups because every once in a while they would get someone calling up with fitment problems on the passenger ...

Is there a torque value on the nuts or is it a calibrated wrist kind of thing. I see they use nylocks.

2012 drag link adjustment

Anyone have this style drag link connection and or know how to adjust it to center the steering wheel? I’m assuming you loosen the two clamp bolts the. Twist the sleeve like normal?

Thanks!

One headlamp not working.

2012 pw. My passenger side headlight is inop. Low Beam, high beam nothing. Running light works. I’ve changed bulbs, cleaned contacts, and after doing this twice, it worked intermittently a couple of times. I’m at a loss.

Re: Wheel Bearing/Hub Recommendation

You could always use this as an excuse to upgrade to a free spin hub kit, like Dynatrac. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Plus I shift in and out of four-wheel-drive 3 to 4 times per day when it rains just backing out of the driveway I’d hate to have to get out twice each time. Premier is a brand at the shop recommen...

Re: Wheel Bearing/Hub Recommendation

Wanted to bump this thread as it looks like I’ll be needing a new bearing on the passenger side. The shop recommends premier, what do you guys say? I kind of like to upgrade stuff when things break or wear out, any suggestions?

Thanks

I had the same problem. Bad shift solenoid. It is going into limp mode most likely. Mine would usually reset after restart. until 1/4 mile down the road. Parts and labor for the solenoid was 850$
