Re: Headers

So, the above mentioned paces setters are for 2wd only. I ended up going with the JBA’s after speaking with a guy named Dustin there at JBA. He said that they quit marketing them for these pickups because every once in a while they would get someone calling up with fitment problems on the passenger ...

Re: 2012 drag link adjustment

Is there a torque value on the nuts or is it a calibrated wrist kind of thing. I see they use nylocks.

2012 drag link adjustment

Anyone have this style drag link connection and or know how to adjust it to center the steering wheel? I’m assuming you loosen the two clamp bolts the. Twist the sleeve like normal?

Thanks!

Factory bulbs. Wiring harness looks good. I wasn’t aware there was a fuse or relay? I looked on the fuse box I. The engine compartment and couldn’t find one. Where is it located?

One headlamp not working.

2012 pw. My passenger side headlight is inop. Low Beam, high beam nothing. Running light works. I’ve changed bulbs, cleaned contacts, and after doing this twice, it worked intermittently a couple of times. I’m at a loss.

Re: Wheel Bearing/Hub Recommendation

You could always use this as an excuse to upgrade to a free spin hub kit, like Dynatrac. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ Plus I shift in and out of four-wheel-drive 3 to 4 times per day when it rains just backing out of the driveway I’d hate to have to get out twice each time. Premier is a brand at the shop recommen...

Re: Wheel Bearing/Hub Recommendation

Wanted to bump this thread as it looks like I’ll be needing a new bearing on the passenger side. The shop recommends premier, what do you guys say? I kind of like to upgrade stuff when things break or wear out, any suggestions?

Thanks

I had the same problem. Bad shift solenoid. It is going into limp mode most likely. Mine would usually reset after restart. until 1/4 mile down the road. Parts and labor for the solenoid was 850$

Re: Steering shaft/box

1. Gearboxes are intended to have the least backlash when they are on-center 2. Gearboxes experience least backlash when they are pressurized. Engine-off testing will show different results. 3. In my opinion the adjustment of these gearboxes should not be done. I have never seen it work as a lastin...

Re: Steering shaft/box

pretty sure this movement is due to the Backlash that is designed into the steering box. you can tighten up the Lash with a nifty adjuster on the top of the steering box. look up this process on youtube. but ive heard you do not want to go too far or you may introduce binding into the system. Yeah ...

Steering shaft/box

Is this normal? The box is about a year old. I can feel a dead spot in the steering. I grab the shaft under the dash with one hand and the wheel in the other and it seems tight and in unison. All u joints are tight. Pulled the boot and really couldn’t see any play unless I push up and down on it at ...

Re: Intermediate Steering Shaft/Upper Steering Coupler Question

Interesting. I’m chasing a dead spot with a slight clunk in my steering. I seem to have visually and audibly tracked it to the rubber boot area of the shaft but haven’t pulled it yet. Shop said my ball joints were good however he said only one had “less than 1/8 inch play”

Yeah don’t think I need a 2000$ system plus install. I’m replacing the stock manifolds simply to eliminate the leaks so my gas mileage comes back and my plugs don’t get loaded with fuel, and so I can use the remote start feature. Got on summit and added the -2 finish shorties, two new OEM gaskets, a...

Re: Frustrated with 2012 PW design flaws and repeated fixes

My 12’ has 139k on it. My Uconnect has worked well for me. The only complaint I have with that is that bitching Betty talks for 30 seconds it seems after you hit answer on the call. I had to replace a shift solenoid shortly after I bought it. (Purchased at 118k) as it would throw it into 4th gear sa...
