Re: Service 4WD System flashing
I crawled under my truck again and found a wire connector with three wires leading into the back of the lower right axle. I assume that is for the CAD disconnect. I unplugged it and it was clean inside. I simply reconnected it. Is there a sensor in what appears to be a plastic flat rectangular unit ...

Re: Service 4WD System flashing
I’m not sure exactly where that CAD axle sensor is. Do you have a photo?

Re: Service 4WD System flashing
Replaced the Transfer case switch. No change at all. Any other recommendations?

Re: Service 4WD System flashing
Yes, the 4wd definitely works when I pull the lever. The truck reestablishes traction right now.

Thanks. I’ll see if that rectifies my problem.

Service 4WD System flashing
On my 2016 PW, the "Service 4WD System" will message flash every time I place the lever in 4WD. Sometime the ABS light comes on too. The 4WD appears to be functioning as it should. The "4WD Lock" indicator light continuously flashes whether the lever is in the 4Hi position or 2WD position until I tu...

Re: Dash Lights
My “solution” is to place a clean article of clothing or towel over the dash lights. Hanging something over the radio screen is trickier. Maddening, isn’t it?

Re: Instrument Cluster Lights
I feel your pain. When asked by FCA in post purchase survey, I cited this very same problem. I frequently drive down rural deserted roads at dawn or dusk looking for wildlife. My “solution” is to shove an article of clothing over the gauge display and drape something else over the radio. I may try p...

Re: Fed up!!! (More dura trash)
My Duratracs didn't last 8,000 miles. Constant flat tires and ruined one completely. Switched to same size BFGoodrich KO2s and have had 8,000 trouble free miles on the same gravel roads here in Western Alaska. Duratracs are junk on those types of surfaces. The gravel easily punches through the tread...

Re: Radio problems
If AM radio is all that one can tune into then it's a big deal if the reception is poor.

Re: Radio problems
My AM reception is very poor after traveling 40-50 miles from the station. I get a lot of static which noticeably intensifies when I depress the brake pedal and release it. My 2008 GMC still has stellar reception up to 80 miles away on the same station. I wish I knew what to do to improve the AM rec...

Re: Axle Hop
I learned a lot from searching around. But I am also dismayed as it seems like many owners have problems with axle wrap/wheel hop that lingers even after they add triple axle shocks and air down. I am going to try the triple shock mod. I crawled under my rig and read that the shock is a Bilstein F4-...

Re: Axle Hop
What tire pressure do you recommend? That sounds like a hassle to get out and deflate them just to launch your boat and then reinflate them afterwards. What type of compressor do you carry with you? As for adding two more shocks, can a guy buy extra mount brackets or do you have to custom make some?...

Axle Hop
Speaking of axle hop, I notice that my new 2016 PW is prone to that in loose river gravel and sand. It's downright annoying. On paper, my less capable GMC half ton would negotiate both types terrain better. I need the winch just to self-rescue. No wonder it's included! Maybe I don't understand how t...
