Re: 2500 miles with new Camper
Its really cool, I would go back. Deadwood was a ton of fun too. Next time I would probably stay around Hill City/Custer State Park but nothing wrong with being near Deadwood.

2500 miles with new Camper
Got a new Momentum 29GS toy hauler replacing my rack and Lance 1985. Definitely a lot more weight to deal with and a lot more work to drive but it’s a nice camper. Went to Deadwood for a week from Tulsa . The 6.4 was working. 5.5 mpg. Locked out fifth after the first hundred miles since it was just ...

Re: Mud flaps
I had them on my Ranger, when the rears ripped off they damaged the body. When I built the flat bed for my second gen I built some removable mudflaps to go on Ultimate Adventure 2004 since there was a lot of states that required something (especially since my "fenders" basically ended at the axle. I...

Re: Is this place still alive?
Anyone know of anyone in Canada who owns a 2005 Power Wagon. I’m in Manitoba and I feel like I’m the only one….. lone survivor. I've sold a couple of my kits for 2005s to customers in Langdon, AB and Millarville, AB. According to this thread , there were 282 built for Canada in 2005. One my brother...

Post some picture/links to which ones you go with. Kind of thinking about getting some for mine (to hide the dent.)

Re: Is this place still alive?
Big mod day at my house, put on a bed step. Probably the first mod that wasn't either off-road, performance, or appearance improvement.
But the truck is 2.5" taller than when I bought it, and I'm nine years older.

Re: 2025 Thoughts
Yeah, my g/f has th ZF in her 2016 BW 650i. That thing shifts amazing. (And it's always fun squealing the tires on 2-3 upshift.) The CTD actually has a version of the medium duty Powerline. https://www.zf.com/products/en/cv/products_76738.html I would hazard to say this will be by far the best trans...

Re: 2025 Thoughts
Looks like nothing too exciting changed on the 2500 gassers. The new transmissions on the CTD looks pretty good.

Re: Anyone tried any of these tires?
The 37”s fit really well with the AEV wheels (and Thuren lift) Just barely kissed the inner fender liner on one of the ribs, pushed them back with some heat. Only around 2” of travel at full lock, anywhere else they cleared with no effort Getting slightly better mileage than 35”s with the 5.13s. If ...

Re: Anyone tried any of these tires?
Ram 37s.jpg Got the Toyo RT Trails mounted up. 37" LR E. Exactly 2" taller (36.25") than my 35" Toyo MTs. I also got an alignment done (which led done another rabbit hole on if I should go with Thuren specs. Discount couldn't adjust caster anyway but it was generally within the Thuren recommendatio...

T-Case Position Sensor Replacement
I got the "4wd shift in progress" message the other day. Fortunately, I have the BD 2wd low range so even if it tries it won't shift, just illuminate the LED on the switch. I bought a new sensor, Mopar part 6821 1454AA; but I can't figure out where the sensor is on the T-Case. I felt around but coul...

Re: Ready to go Camping
Western Arkansas, in the Ozarks. Some decent OHV trails, too tight for trucks/Jeeps, about 90% of the riders are side by sides with the rest being quads. We just random camp, so "roughing it" with satellite TV and a hot shower after a day of riding.

Anyone tried any of these tires?
Anyone tried any of these three? The Toyo RT Trail is new, as is the Falkan RT. I was going to get the Maxxis then these two options popped up, in my size and weight rating. Unfortunately, I don't use my truck the way it should be used very often anymore and I probably should just get the Wildpeak A...

Re: Is this place still alive?
Sparkplugs are expensive! Oddly enough more than double my 8.1 L Vortec when I did it back in the day.
102k miles, I think I have all the maintenance caught up. Just need tires one of these days... 5 years and 30k miles on the Toyo MTs.
Random post. sorry

Re: Best AGM Battery
Anyone using Optima yellow tops? I wasn't super happy with red tops in my second gen, but in fairness they handled several single battery/stock alternator dual winch recoveries and literally hundreds of single winch recoveries. Amazon their reviews are generally better than some of the others and th...

Re: Best AGM Battery
Thats clever, I'll take a look at that. It does make me feel better about not buying another Napa. I had a Diehard Platinum in my Chevy and it had no problems starting the 8.1L at -40 and was going strong when I traded the truck in. Probably was 7-8 years old or older at that point.
