Re: New first time PW owner, need some advice about towing with a truck camper.
I'd recommend airbags and a weight distribution hitch. I'm running a camper that is about 2200# wet and a 18' car hauler with two SxS's, fuel, water, etc. The WD reduces the body roll caused by the camper and slack in the Smart Bar.

Re: Smart Bar bolts
I don't know the stock part number. The stock bolts have a retained loose flat washer, but I haven't had any success finding those in a bulk supply. I do have these. They're grade 10.9 M10 X 1.5 X 30mm black phosphate with a flat flanged 15mm hex head. Let me know if you want them. IMG_2974.JPG M10...

Smart Bar bolts
Does anyone know where I can buy, or the part number for, the three bolts that hold the electronic actuator module to the bar? After three years mine have disappeared and I need another set.

Re: Better brakes?
My 2017 has never had what I thought the best brakes and honesty in low range the brakes will stop it but they seem almost overwhelmed. Has anyone tried the z36 power stop kit and did it help or is there some other upgrades out there? Thanks A few members here have posted the work they've done to t...

If you grab power from the headlight rotary knob you can have your rocker switches dim with your interior lights.

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
Best year(s) is the early 3G Power Wagon, 2006-2008. 2005 was the prototype with all the teething problems. -06 to 08 were Heavy Duty. Cast iron engine blocks and NO MDS system. Power Wagon design went downhill after DaimlerChrysler sold itself off to Fiat in the Obama economy. Just between you and...

Re: A major wheel vendor would like some input
There's a lot of flexibility for wheel offsets whether you're running 37's or 40's. +30mm to +12mm for 37's and -10mm to -35mm for 40's. My pick would be +18mm for 37's and -25mm for 40's.

Is that it's intended use? I don't see it surviving Moab on the end of a hydraulic ram.DamageWagon wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 5:36 pmIt is from PSCReloaderguy wrote:Who engineered that tie rod mount for the Synergy bar?

Re: Ford Tremor
I just drove the Tremor with the 7.3L and I’ll say this, it’s one hell of a truck. The ride quality is on par with my Power Wagon, the transmission shifts are smooth, and it feels like the the truck has plenty of power. I just can’t get past the $71,000 sticker price. Ford is going to sell a lot of...

Cheating performance wise or not really the size marked on the side? Putting 38's on Ram trucks is pretty well known at this point. I think Don was running 38's in 2015.OffroadTreks wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2020 7:32 pm

What does that tire and wheel combo weigh? One of the major downsides of 40's and beedlocks is the weight, I th...

Re: THE BIGGEST TIRE YOU CAN FIT
There’s about a $4-5,000 difference in cost of entry between 39’s and 40’s just in flares and wheels, and a $5,000 difference in vehicle value when you do AEV flares; that would be more but you’re already doing some trimming to fit 39’s so it’s not like it’s going to stay all pretty and new. It’s a...

Re: THE BIGGEST TIRE YOU CAN FIT
So after all of that the answer is still 37s if you don't want to cut anything. I don't think I'd go to the trouble of 39s, either stick with 37s or step up to 40s. There is no trouble with 39's though. I can use my existing wheel. I could use stock wheels. I chose the BFG because it's the bi...

Newer is better. I see all the time guys say their 2005-09 is the best because of some minor things, while the truck is burning to the ground behind them and they’re lying on the ground with a broken back because their grab handle ripped out while they were fixing the arcing door wiring harness tha...
