Re: Camping Options/ Shell?

Hmmmm...post a picture/sketch of what you are planning on doing. There is some dude from the PNW who did something similar to this and it turned out pretty cool.

Re: Camping Options/ Shell?

Man....that sounds like a ton of work, $$ and it will be freaking heavy with SS. Aluminum maybe. SS is just gonna be heavy. My recommendation is to just get yourself a nice ARB cap (*I have the 6" extended height one) and be done with it for a couple of thousand $$ and 2 hours of your time to get it...

Re: Ticking on startup

Thanks for the replies.....The ticking is RPM related and goes away completely after 20 seconds or so.

I will try replacing the oil filter....but would that be RPM related?

Ticking on startup

Hey....so my 2013 PW with about 52K miles has been making a ticking noise for about 20-30 seconds on startup the past month. Valve slap?? It goes away after a short period. Anything I should be doing on this? My last Ram 1500 that also had the 5.7 had about 115K miles on it and never made this noise...

Re: How do I remove the front swaybar links?

OK....done. Too easy. No pounding required. Sway bar end just slid and "locked" back in no problem. The c clip that holds the sway bars in the smart bar are probably just a hair too small....which is why they tend to pop out. Poor engineering any way you look at it. Seriously, a sway bar should not ...

Re: Anatomy of a SmartBar

Maybe the sway bar popped out and the prior owner drove it around in the mud for a year before sticking it back in and then selling it to you.

Frankly, I think RAM owes us a recall on these stupid things.

How do I remove the front swaybar links?

OK....I want to fix my smartbar/front swaybar that decided to just fall apart. (*2013 PW) The links look like they might be a bit of a bear to pull off. What is the approved solution for getting them off? I really don't like banging suspension components to get them off if I can avoid it. If anyone ...

Re: Swaybar popped out....2013 with 52K miles

Hey....thanks for the replies. I will try and put it back in this weekend. I am certainly not going to spend $1400+ to replace a flawed system....that will probably just die again. It would be one thing if it worked awesome to start with or lasted 10 yrs before it just kinda broke for no reason. Eve...

Swaybar popped out....2013 with 52K miles

So, the passenger side of my swaybar popped out of my 2013 powerwagon. I don't abuse anything. just started rubbing on hard left turns. It has moved about 3-4 inches out and the splines are visible and just kinda sitting there. Of course it is not covered under warrantee. $1400 plus labor. From wher...
