Re: RamBox guys..opinions please.

I love the RamBox. My last truck was a standard cab with a utility box which I really liked. It's nice to keep recovery gear and such locked up, but easily accessible and not taking up space in the cab or in your way when you need to haul something. I keep cold weather emergency gear, recovery gear,...

Re: 15 Power Wagon had the death wobble.

http://i.imgur.com/OY0T1QW.jpg What wheels and tires are those? Do those wheels have more or less offset than the factory wheels? I'm trying to decide whether to go to 37x12.50r17s or 285/75r18s. I like narrower tires, and prefer the 285/75r18 size, but there's not much to chose from in that size.

Re: Fan

But if it is working the way it is supposed to, why the rush to change it? Nothing is wrong, according to your description. It has on a few occasions refused to disengage, even when driving very easy in 50 to 60 degree temps for hundreds of miles. It is quite irritating to hear the noise of the fan...

Re: Fan

Everyday when I first turn my truck on the engine fan is on. It will stay on until I get up to highway speeds or keep wide open throttle for 10-15 seconds. It can be 75 degrees or like yesterday 102 and it doesn't matter the fan is on. Does anyone else have this issue? Mine has been stuck on nearly...

Re: 18 mpg

I've averaged 18mpg on a couple 500+ mile trips in mine. The secret is ethanol free gas and lots of miles under 60mph. I generally average around 15-16 mpg but I don't drive with a heavy foot and I don't use it to commute to work or run to the store.

Re: Power Wagon vs. Rebel... Sibling rivalries???

I find the "half ton" comments amusing. Simple numbers for simple people, as they say. You guys are completely missing the point, and your response is to belittle me? What a great place this is  I pointed out the fact that the PW is really only a half ton in response to the previous poster wh...

Re: Power Wagon vs. Rebel... Sibling rivalries???

The Power Wagon is really only a half ton. The Tacoma has a greater rated payload. Which is fine with me.... Half ton? Not quite. Just cause the payload rating is pathetic (for a 3/4 ton truck) dosnt mean its a half ton. I guess it depends on how you look at things... In my mind it is a truck with ...

Re: Power Wagon vs. Rebel... Sibling rivalries???

The Power Wagon is really only a half ton. The Tacoma has a greater rated payload. Which is fine with me. I don't buy 3/4 ton trucks because I need the payload capacity. I buy them for the heavy duty drive train, steering components, brakes, and suspension components. IMHO the Power Wagon (like the ...

Re: DIY bumpers

The Move bumpers are pretty thin. Ryan that works here has one on his 06 Mega Cab, it fits well and everything but you can pick the whole bumper up with one hand easily. We reinforced it a bit because it was flexing pretty noticeably. Definitely not as strong as I'm used to seeing. Maybe the winch ...

Re: 70MPH Vibration on 2016 PW

Interesting. I was just noticing today that my truck has a slight shimmy around 70mph. It's the same age and miles. I was beginning to think I might have gotten some mud inside one of the rear wheels, but it only seems to occur at 70mph.

Re: Anyone keep track of their trucks lifetime avg fuel mile

I averaged 18 mpg on a trip last week. About 500 miles, although much of it was between 45 and 55 mph (drove to Yellowstone and toured around for a couple days and drove home) and I spend the extra $ for premium so I can get fuel without ethanol which seems to just about pay for itself with the impr...

Not all that uncommon around here. Just last week I took mine to the car wash and ended up in line behind another one. In a town of about 50k I've seen several and there's at least a couple on the dealer lot right now.
