Re: 6.4 oil pressure hot idle???
My '16 was bought in late 2015. It has 60200 plus miles on the odometer. I took several readings today. First was 210* at 30psi. Second was 213* at 30psi. Third was 212* at 30psi. The last one was 215* at 30psi. As you can see the temps varied a bit but the pressure was consistent. Hope this helps y...

Re: BoldAdventures 2015 Power Wagon Build
Nice to see that Thuren's springs seem to take weight like the stockers. May have to upgrade one day. Anyway, what stage are your shocks? Would be nice to just float down the highway like a 1/2 ton!

Re: Blown Bilsteins
Guess I will have to do a little more research just in case these new shocks blow prematurely. Shocks weeping is one thing, but I still don't understand why they gave up the ghost at less than 50K miles.

Blown Bilsteins
Well, the truck was just under 50K miles and two of the stock shocks just blew. They were leaking something fierce. The dealership replaced the two under the lifetime warranty. Just as the truck went over the 50K mark another shock blew. That one will also be replaced under warranty. I might have go...

Re: Raptor vs. Power Wagon vs. ZR2
Interesting how on the Raptor forums they are complaining about the tire pressure not being low enough. Also, not enough weight in the bed. Pretty sure the Wagon was cruising right along with 65 psi in the tires. I wonder what else they will cry about.

Re: Raptor vs. Power Wagon vs. ZR2
They stated in the article that the Rebel's suspension could not keep up with the other vehicles. Ram will have to address this issue if they want the Rebel to be more off road worthy. The Raptur couldn't beat the Wagon back in 2010 and even with all of its electrical nannies it still can't. Not sur...

I have the Yokohama Geolander GO15 in the 315 size. It's an all-terrain with the mountain and snowflake. They have 20K on them and they still look new. Unlike the Duratracs which lasted 20K.

Re: Why are there so many newer PWs being traded in so early
I have never seen any used wagons on the lots around here. Every other day I will spot another one on the road. Although an '05 regular cab is just around the corner from me. Love the ride! It isn't half ton soft, but better than a stock 2500. As stated visibility is great for such a big vehicle. It...

That is a good apples to apples video. Both vehicles have lift and 37's. The stock bumper definitely has a better approach angle. No argument there.

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?
I keep watching that darn video. A 3 inch lift with 37's and that bumper is still hitting the rock wall. Definitely a bad approach angle for the bumper. Makes me wonder if the driver is out of his element.

Yeah I do like their bumper. If I wanted something else I would consider it. That said really! If your bumper is hitting turn the wheels and take a slightly different approach. No excuse for that!

Re: "No trailer" dash light
Forgot. What it usually means is that you were hooked up to a trailer and now you are not. It is informing you to check the trailer plug to make sure that it is connected.

Re: "No trailer" dash light
Two things you can try. Pull the trailer plug and then reinstall the plug to see if the light goes out. Or turn the vehicle off and then back on to see if it goes away.

Re: Why has AEV turned to such shit?
Have their lift utilize the power wagon springs so that you can actually get some up and down travel. That would be a good start. Maybe make a one inch taller power wagon spring to get rid of the spacers. I think those would make the off-road crowd happy. Keep the spacer lift for the mall crawlers. ...

Re: Stick with stock size tires for towing?
Other than maybe losing a little mpg go with the 35's. You get a tougher tire which should be E rated. The psi will still be at 65 so you won't get beat up. Fills in the wheel wells better. Your speedo will be off until you get a Procal or hypertech. I say go for it! Yes, I do tow with 35s.

Re: Hypertech
Had a chance to drive the Wagon today. It feels like stock again. Throttle response is normal and so is the downhill speed holding. Transmission seems to be shifting smoother. Overall I would say that this is a very worthwhile mod. I don't think it matters which brand of tuner you go with just do it!

Hypertech
Okay, I just received my Hypertech speedometer calibrator. Install was extremely easy. Haven't had a chance to verify the speedo yet, but I will within the next couple of days. The nice thing about this piece of equipment is if Hypertech ever comes out with a tune for our engine it can be upgraded t...

The 8 speed from the 1500 would be nice. It has close ratios to minimize losing rpms between shifts.

Re: Transmission question
Not sure that I agree with what Ram is saying. Had the transmission just shifted to 2nd the temps would have stayed in the low 170s. Instead it was hovering around 190. How is that beneficial to the trans? Normally on these mountain passes I keep the trans in 3rd or 2nd depending on the circumstance...

Re: Transmission question
I think some of you guys missed the point. This issue occurred going up the pass. Not down it. Yes, I do know about the manual gear selector. It was locked in 2nd gear. Unfortunately the transmission would not shift out of 1st. So, any ideas why the transmission acted this way?

Re: Transmission question
My first thought is that you were towing well over the max tow rating. My first question is if you put your transmission in tow/haul mode. My second question is if you have and properly using your trailer brakes. More experienced people will chime in shortly but if you can answer my two questions, ...
