Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

My 2015's lie-o-meter is accurate for highway miles. Where it goes off is in city driving, and paints a rosier picture than reality. In city driving, the truck calculates about 0.5 to 1 mpg better than hand calculations. My guess is that the sample rate of whatever sensor is measuring fuel flow is ...

Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

I have compared the computer readout to hand calculations at every fill up with my new work truck (‘17 Ram 1500 with hemi). It was dead on once, the rest of the time the computer has read anywhere from .5-1 mpg more than the actual hand calculation shows. As far as my Power Wagon, if I can muster 1...

Re: MPG calculator versus hand calculations

All of my driving is in town. Wife and I have taken a few trips, but none in '17. Planning a Colorado trip this summer. I'm anxious to see the MPG go up with hwy driving. Have you taken possession of your '18 yet? Lets see it. You'll like the whiteKnuckle sliders. I have them on mine. First thing I ...

MPG calculator versus hand calculations

I purchased my '14 power wagon new and have kept track of my fuel usage for the past three years, (Starting in '15). I have noticed a difference between the MPG calculator on the truck and the hand calculations at the pump. Without looking at the algorithm RAM has in the software I can only speculat...

Recall Notice on my 14'

Just received a recall notice for the Occupant Restraint Control Module (ORC). Seems the side air bags and seat airbag an overly sensitive calibration that may result in unexpected deployment of the air bags. Looks like it is just a software issue. Has anyone had their airbags deploy unexpectedly? I...

Re: 2014 White Knuckle Sliders installed

That's awesome. I ordered mine about 4 wks ago, had them shipped directly to the local Line-X dealer. I'll pick them up from there once they're finished. I ordered the .120" tube, not the .188", but I ordered them in the stronger HREW not the standard DOM, with full length diamond playing, in bare ...

2014 White Knuckle Sliders installed

I received my WhiteKnuckle Sliders Friday for my 2014 and installed them. I have to say that I was very impressed with the shipping and packaging and overall quality of the product. The sliders arrived as ordered with all the brackets clearly marked and the hardware was exact and good quality. The i...

Re: New Members First Mod

Nice link. I have ordered Whiteknuckle rails but have not received them yet. Funny I have not needed the jack for any reason other than lifting a mill I have in my garage. I purchased the tire lifting strap to change a tire if needed. And I agree these things are extremly dangerous. YouTube has some...

New Members First Mod

Hello, my name is Casey I'm new to the forum. I've had my 14' PW for approximatly a year now and love it. I recently purchased a mig welder and my first project was fabricating a holding jig for my farm jack. I've never had any formal welding instruction so I butcherd the weld joints but they seem t...
