Re: Vararam CAI?

I was going to get the vanaram myself. It's pretty sweet setup. I think there is a notice right on there website about the snow issue. I'm going to stay stock, until aev snorkels come down in price or another manufacturer comes up with something comparable. I think snorkels look bada$$.

Re: Vararam CAI?

The snow issue is because of the ram air. It gets its air from the top of the grill and snow blows right in. Normally, oiled filters don't care if it is snowing. I'm not the biggest fan of oiled filters because if they are over oiled, or not tacky enough it ends up all over your intake sensors.

Re: Vararam CAI?

Don't run them anywhere with snow. The manufacturer doesn't recommend it.

Re: The ram man inc. free spin kit

I do like the fact that the ram man hubs are short. The locking hub fits underneath the factory hub cap. I may have to buy it just to try. I can always go back to stock.

Re: The ram man inc. free spin kit

I don't like the idea of ford parts either. I am going to inspect the parts in person this weekend. Cheaper is not always better but some stuff is blatantly overpriced. I do appreciate your opinions and definitely agree with what your saying. The seller has told me he has ran dynatracs and has had m...

Re: The ram man inc. free spin kit

Wouldn't you need a tow if any type of wheel bearing failed? With the exception of carrying extra parts. It's a deal because it was bought and not installed so it is being liquidated. They are factory ford hubs, that are timken, that have ram bolt pattern drilled. I haven't heard of to many ford bea...

Re: The ram man inc. free spin kit

It's a pretty good deal. I can get one for $900 cheaper than dynatrac. What's the cost of replacing factory bearings?

The ram man inc. free spin kit

I've found a free spin kit from the ram man for sale and was wondering if anyone has this setup or knows someone who does. I'm under the impression that it uses a modified f250 hub and bearing. Seems legit, but it is still a unit bearing. Any information/opinions would be appreciated.

Re: Kill-switch for electronic nannies

I'm going to have to try making a hooligan switch. Im going to use f06 fuse. Not sure how im going to do it yet, but probably along the lines of what retired suggested. I had messed around looking for the stability control sensor and was going to modify that, switching/pulling the fuse seems like a ...

Re: Help me decide on PW choices please

I wouldn't trade my 2012 for a newer dodge. If anything I would buy older. It's tough to off-road a $50000 dollar truck. The power wagon is extremely useful as a tool when working, and tows fairly well all considered. I don't think that it is a good daily driver as the mileage suffers and there is m...

Not the greatest night to take photos. In town with a full moon. Next time I'm out of town at night I will snap some better pics. I also have the factor 55 flatlink so winch hook no longer attached to tow hook. This mod would not work with winch connected to tow hook.

[ PW3x3.jpg 3x3mount.jpg These little cubes put out good light, are protected, and cheap. I can run them while my high beams are on. I have full access to my winch. Mounting was easy as I used existing holes in bumper and simple wiring with relay and switch. I could take more pics if anyone is inter...

Re: Homemade Old School PNP Locker Bypass

Thanks for the replies. I think it's starting to sink in. Both ends of the oe style connectors are required from donor. Then add the switch and resistors in between the original t-case position sensor. Seems like a viable option compared to new style plug and play. $50 vs $300. Being able to exceed ...

Re: Homemade Old School PNP Locker Bypass

I am interested in trying this on my 2012 PW with the Borg Warner t-case. Where did you find the resistance spec for the BW t-case? So correct me if I'm wrong but, now wouldn't it always think it's in 4lo. I don't fully understand how it eliminates cutting and splicing the wires.
