Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger

Likely the case then, I haven't followed options since 2016, buddy down the street mentioned it. Either way, I'm just glad they fit.

Re: 19 ram power wagon screaming bigger

Just fit 35x12.5r17 Duratracs onto the factory wheels (I think the dealer put the 2020 black wheel on this 19 before I found it). No rub anywhere I've been, but I haven't run it to full flex yet. Daily driving, gravel, tight turns, and slight bad road trail use has been perfect. Also, I bent the hea...

Re: Well WTF do I do now?

And what's weird to me anyway. Every time I've had warranty work done and it's been over a day they give me a loaner. Especially if it's a $50k plus truck that's only a year old. MY problem is the rental they offered is a 2wd pickup. And on this job I've been out for 3 weeks already, and they won't...

Re: Well WTF do I do now?

Well a few weeks alter and no help. Chrysler basically bowed out and left me hanging, Ford and Toyota stepped up and offered trade deals 10K or better than Chrysler did to replace my PW. As it is, I'm losing my shirt on it if I trade it in (as expected, its too new). So I'm going to buy a used Jeep ...

Re: Well WTF do I do now?

So , even with all the codes, it drives like normal? What about lockers, sway bar? Has any service been done to it recently? I will take some wild guesses just for fun. Loose or broken ground wire somewhere. Alternator putting out distorted ac type power. Computer problem. Good news it will be a wa...

Re: Well WTF do I do now?

Not likely going to go and buy a 2012. Sorry for that. They are going to keep trying to fix it, problem is I'm on the hook for $140 a day rental fee while I'm at work (remote northern Alberta). SO if I'm gone for 25 days, it ads up fast. They'll rent me a "car" but that doesn't help me out. As it is...

Well WTF do I do now?

2015 Power Wagon, love it. One of the few trucks I actually like enough to keep longer than a year or two. Then, BANG! Throws a Malfunction indicator light. Take it in to the dealer, 57 codes. They start changing modules at random per the advice of Chrysler Engineering and Tech Support, down to 31 c...

Re: Tire Gate Vertical series for Dodge Truck

As mentioned above, watch the Tiregates if you are working your truck hard. I ran a slanted version both inside the bed and outside the bed on my Ford, with a 38" tire. Ripped the rear of the bed apart after about 15,000km of rough gravel roads. lost the whole damn issue on the highway one day, that...

Re: 2015 powerwagon POS

I'm in Calgary and had to have GM buy back my 2014 Denali 1500. It stalled, lost power, headlights blinked, 3 batteries, wouldn't start in cold weather, etc. Neve had to go to a lawyer though, GM just bought it out and took it back. Sad to hear about your PW, I have a 15 as well, 18,000km or so and ...

While not "fun dirty", this is how they look when "work dirty".

I will say, nothing out here stops it though. The lockers are fantastic!

Re: $70,000 Hemi?

I'd be interested in switching out my stock 15 PW suspension for the AEV kit, and then running 37's. :D

They can keep the rest. Nice kit, I just don't need it. I'd prefer an ARB bumper.

Re: new bike

God what does that weigh ? It would be fine for touring on dirt roads. 500lbs wet, bags and camping gear gets to 650lbs it, stuffed with 10 days worth. My first adventure bagger was a 2006 BMW GSA and it topped out at 750 loaded up. They are great for touring mountain back roads, forestry roads, mo...

Pics up shortly. lol. Gonna try and switch out the silly road tires for some TKC80's Monday or Tuesday. Then pics will be in order I suppose, after I test them out in Kananaskis.

Re: Upgrading from 7100's!!!.......

I hope they sort you out. Like I said, never had the 7100. I had the 2.65 and they were great. 80K a year on oilfield roads with the winter valving. (BTW, the week it was tested it was about -28 C) I work rigs and I had the Carli in a 2010 Cummins Mega. Maybe the 7100's are just a crap shock up here...

Re: Upgrading from 7100's!!!.......

That sucks. I never ran the 7100's, so I cannot comment, although it seems you got shafted (pun intended). I had the full 2.65 kit and all the bells and whistles Carli offered and it always ran great, but those 2.65 Blackhawk shocks need to be rebuilt and after hard oilfield use, I did it every year...

I've had them a several trucks pretty much since AMP invented them. I've never had issues with them, and they have always been on oil patch work trucks.

Re: 4:56 ratio for 2014

I've had my 2015 out twice now just to experiment. I don't mud bog it aside from bad roads and bad oil leases. I don't 'rock crawl it' either, it's too damn long. I do like two track, rocky, sometimes slick forestry roads, creek crossing, ancient stream and storm beds, and mountain trails where permi...

Re: new bike

Very true about the cost of a 650 vs any KTM or BMW. But let's be clear, they are not the same bikes. The closest comparison might be the 690R at twice the price of a 650, but agaun, not even close to being the same bike. I'll admit, I loved my TW200 and my KLR 650 back in the day, but then I got a ...

I had an 1190R on order before the world fell apart. Did my research. Great bikes. I've had 1150 ADV BMW, 06 1200 ADV BMW, 640 ADV KTM, 950 ADV KTM, and 950 SE KTM. All good.

If you are set on an 1190, get going soon. They do not last.

2015 PW. Lockers in 4low only. Great for crawling. I want them in 4high, but not sure if I want the warranty issues if dealers get stupid. Also, I do mostly technical trail crawling anyway. I'm not much of a muck hole freak aside from work. If the oil lease is bad enough to need a high speed run at ...

Re: 2.5 hitch replacement

There is a good solution. I haven't seen that particular system before. I had a 1Up kit on the way, but I'll have to make one of these as well.

Thanks!

(I still think the 2.5 is a poor idea)
