Yeah if you drag it out to where it's visible to hikers and bikers, it'll get removed. For some reason that usually gets a mess cleaned up pretty quick. My 2010 is doing it on hard shifts but only if I have my foot in it. Been doing it for about 5000 miles now and it's definitely coming from the trans. It doesn't seem to slip or anything but gives a loud chirp from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I'm hoping it's not the start of a big problem.
