Re: What to do when you see a abandonned car on the trail?
Yeah if you drag it out to where it's visible to hikers and bikers, it'll get removed. For some reason that usually gets a mess cleaned up pretty quick. Those people in charge of the land don't want to hear complaints every day about a trashed vehicle ruining the view for those enjoying the outdoors...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
Okay guys, hopefully this is my last update on this subject but I finally got it back to working like new. I ended up changing all of the lines and the pump. Just a heads up to anybody who's planning on pulling the low pressure/return line out of the steering box. The high pressure line is steel and...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
This will sound silly but I left the high pressure line connected and left the return at the reservoir unhooked. Took a small v belt from a lawn mower. Hooked the belt to the pump pulley and the other end to a cordless drill. Spun the drill turning the pump in the right direction while constantly f...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
Hey guys, not trying to beat this to death but I ended up buying another new pump plus new lines and I'm changing them later today. My question is, is there any way to get to old fluid out of my steering box or has anyone come up with an effective method of pumping it out? I tried the whole vacuum p...

Re: 2016 trans chirp when cold.
My 2010 is doing it on hard shifts but only if I have my foot in it. Been doing it for about 5000 miles now and it's definitely coming from the trans. It doesn't seem to slip or anything but gives a loud chirp from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I'm hoping it's not the start of a big problem.

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
I could right a war and peace sized novel about the steering problems I've had on my truck. Been through quite a few pumps and gears over the years. New pumps will shit the bed quickly if you don't bleed the system correctly. You need to vacuum bleed. http://www.handsontools.com/Miller-Mopar-Tools-...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
Can anyone tell me if our trucks run the same steering box as the standard 4X4 2500? Not sure I'm gonna need it but I did notice the seal on the output shaft is leaking now. Not leaking bad and Its not dripping out but there's definitely fluid on the seal. From what I've been told, if the seal is dr...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
Well, it's a reman Pump but it came with a new reservoir and mounting bracket. I didn't buy a new one because their dealer only items here and the dealer told me it would be over $1000 with the reservoir. Now that you've mentioned it, I'm concerned that any fluid that I'd didn't get out of the steer...

Re: Power steering loss at low RPM
Well, I never heard of the hose lining issue but it kinda makes sense. I don't want to go buy a new steering box just to find out that it wasn't the problem. The truck just turned 70,000 miles so it's not like it should be worn out yet. I dont even take it off road like it should be so it certainly ...

Power steering loss at low RPM
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted anything but it's summer and I get pretty busy. Here's my issue, about 4 moths ago I noticed my power steering felt like it was binding at low RPMs while trying to park or slowing down to make a turn. I noticed a slight groan from my power steering pump ...

Guys, I got my CajunPW bypass kit today and it looks great. Very clean and straight forward so I'm hoping to get it installed by this weekend if all goes well. Very happy with the whole transaction. Re: Sometimes the Hemi tic, is not just a Hemi tic
Well, that might be a little harsh IMO but I've had great luck with Dodge. The wife's 03 Durango we had for 10 years and 124k miles and the only thing I ever had to fix on that was the blower motor relay. My 04 Ram 1500 I had for 10 years also and only ever changed the alternator at 70k and front ro...

Re: Sometimes the Hemi tic, is not just a Hemi tic
Same problem my friend had with his 06! He was still within his warranty so it didn't cost him anything but they only the bare minimum. The cam and 2 lifters were on the invoice and to me that's just ridiculous! Why wouldn't they do all of the lifters while they were in there?! I told him to buy a p...

Re: Winching and Recovery 101
I work for a fairly big power company and we use warn winches with amsteel blue rope and roller fairleads in all of our trucks. We pull very heavy loads at sometimes hard angles and never have any problems. Just my two cents. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk Okay, that's good to hear and yeah I h...

Hawse Fairlead required?
Okay, my factory winch cable is due to be replaced since it's got some serious kinks and a few strands here and there that always seem to get through my gloves. I was looking into using a synthetic winch rope but I noticed that they advertise the Hawse fairleads with all of the ropes and I read that...

Well, if I didn't live on a 1/2 mile miserable dirt road, I'd woulda bought a black one just like it because that's a good looking truck. Unfortunately black doesn't go with dirt roads so I'm stuck with silver. Very nice truck and I'm sure you'll sell it without a problem.

Re: 2009 PW FOR SALE
It's a beautiful looking truck and a huge kick in the ass to have to sell it but I can understand why. Somebody's gonna get a nice PW but Hopefully things will get better for you soon and who knows, maybe you'll end up with another company car so you can keep your truck. I've only had mine for about...
