Re: My new 2015 power wagon

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, so I will express mine. Previous truck was 04 Laramie CTD, current truck 15 Laramie PW. When it comes to towing the CTD had much more torque. When it comes to speed the PW has much more acceleration. I bought the PW because of the off road ability, it come...

My PW was built in Feb 2015, the last four of the VIN is 6395. Do you know what that means?

Re: Production numbers?

I googled production numbers for PW, those stats show just under 10,000 per year since 2005. These numbers sound a bit more reasonable.

Re: Good news/bad news

No issues with mine, have 1100 miles now and mileage has improved greatly (not that I bought it for mileage). Fit and finish is all good. Dealership detailed it prior to me arriving, truck had all of 11 miles on it. While installing nerf bars I got my first good look underneath, quite impressive. Th...

Put the hook on the winch cable today. Drove through some snow to test four wheel drive, barley had to put it in 4 high.

When I get into my new Power Wagon, it feels like a "man" truck. I had to help my wife up into it. Lol

Re: Good news/bad news

From another anal truck maintainer, never ever load anything from the side. That's how many scratches are acquired and the "new" metal must be recycled aluminum beer cans. It will bend with just a hard look.

Re: Another Potential Wagon Buyer

Clearance lights are $80 when ordered with truck, minus any discounts you may qualify for. I am waiting on delivery of my Laramie PW, should be any day now. I like the look and feel of leather, plus it is easier to maintain. When I was ordering salesman did say they are using a new cloth materiel th...

Re: Good news/bad news

True that, and I just checked status and my truck is now in Wyoming. The "tech" had no idea where it was going or if it would be trucked overland or shipped by container vessel, but at least it's moving now. Lol

Re: Good news/bad news

My PW build was completed 30 Jan, was told it shipped 3 Feb, only problem, still sitting in rail yard in Illinois. Impatiently waiting like a kid for Christmas. The online VOTS is hardly ever up and when you call, it's a different person each time with a different response. Gotta laugh, cause it's t...

Re: FNG w/2015 Wagon

Good info, still waiting on delivery of my PW. I don't usually get the extended warranty, but as I get older and technology gets ahead of me, the more I consider it. I am buying from a different dealer than the one that will be doing repair work, they should not hold that against me, we have bought ...

Re: Good news/bad news

Truck build is complete, now pending quality assurance inspection, then shipping. Hope shipping doesn't take to long, sometimes items are held up in Tacoma pending full load for shipment to Alaska. Time to start picking out additional items to add on.

Re: Good news/bad news

Received VON and VIN, contacted Ram service, estimated 5 weeks. I was beginning to think that dealer had not submitted order in a timely manner. Glad I was wrong. Rep said it may be sooner since it had already been in "D" status for a while.

Re: Good news/bad news

Dealer called, vehicle order number (Von) has been issued. Build should start very soon, you would think I had ordered an alien, dealer has very little experience with Power Wagon but they are treating me right.

Re: Good news/bad news

There was only one PW on the lots in Alaska, it belonged to the sales manager. I prefer to wait and get the truck the way I want it as opposed to adding stuff after receiving it. I will add "after market" items, but the basic package will be OEM. I also had to travel 350 miles to get the deal I want...

Re: Good news/bad news

As far as specs, not a lot of options, just Laramie package without box or sunroof. Deep Cherry paint, I did request the power wagon decals on the sides and I requested two accessory plugins located in in bed of truck by tail lights. Getting trifold tonneau cover, spray in bed liner, dual alternator...

Good news/bad news

In November my wife totaled my 2004 Laramie CTD. In December I started looking for a new truck and noticed that diesel now costs 51 cents a gallon more than unleaded. Started looking at gassers and saw a Power Wagon. Immediately started looking for one, none for sale in Alaska. Went to dealers to in...
