Re: '14 Power Wagon needs new motor at 63k... :/
Update:. At the 6 week mark with no return calls and no clue what is going on with my truck, I had it towed to a dealership in Denver. The service manager at the new dealership let me know he was about a week out, so I hope to hear from him mid-week (7 week mark). I still don't know what happened, p...

Made some headway today as the warranty request actually got processed... Baby steps... :/. Also, new service manager agrees that we should be in a rental truck... We are remodeling our cabin and own a metal fabrication business - building materials and gas bottles don't go too well in a Dodge journ...

'14 Power Wagon needs new motor at 63k... :/
My 2014 PW has been at the dealership for 4 weeks now needing a new motor according to service manager, and hasn't been approved for warranty, yet... 4 weeks ago, I was driving home from the grocery store. Turned off highway onto dirt road, and shifted into 4wd. Passed a dump truck and about 1 min l...

Re: 315/70/17's on 2014 PW - stock wheels - no rub :)
Are you guys recalibrating the speedometer with a programmer? I lost MPG until I did the recalibration to both correct the miles traveled and my shift points. My mileage went up not down after that not by just a little but it was nearly 2.5mpg on my Yokohama 315 (35") AT tires. I did however loose ...

Re: Old Dodge Off-Road
Skinny tires do great in many off road situations. Especially in mud. Cool video! Yes they do. All of the old hunting rigs and 4X4's always had tall skinny tires. The old Willys Jeeps in all the variants of CJ's, Pickups, Wagons, The Powerwagons, International's, etc. They had 6.00-16, or 7.00-16 a...

Re: 315/70/17's on 2014 PW - stock wheels - no rub :)
*UPDATE* After about 500-1000 miles, I decided that the road noise, fuel mileage loss, and performance loss was too much for my truck that sees 99% onroad scenarios. The tires rode pretty smooth, but had too much "mud tire hum" for my tastes. The tires were HEAVY... The added weight and diameter cos...

Re: Speedometer calibration for 2014
Question, is the Hypertech good for anything other than reprogramming the speedometer? If not, $163 is awfully expensive to adjust just that one parameter, right? Just good for gear changes, tire size changes, and reading/clearing DTC's... That's all I needed, so spending $400-$500 on a tuner that ...

Re: Speedometer calibration for 2014
I found and purchased Hypertech part# 752501 for $163 w/ free shipping, and after updating the unit via the internet, it worked flawlessly. I had to try a few different tire heights to get the speedo corrected according to my phone gps. I actually am using 33.5". The tires I have measure about 34-is...

Awesome, what tired did you end up with? I scooped up (5) Treadwright Guard Dog M/T's w/ Kedge grip off craigslist for $600... Brand-new, never been mounted... Well, this is the message I sent to Hypertech: To whom it may concern, I'm looking to purchase a speedometer re-calibration unit for my 2014 Ram 2500 Power Wagon with the 6.4 Hemi. I just mounted bigger tires and would like the compter to be in sync again. Please let me know the part# of the produc...

Re: 2014 MPG's
Bottom line I don't think any of us bought these trucks to try to get great mpg's... So I can't bitch too much, I just came out of a diesel that only got 11-12 around town and 15-17 on the highway. My Pwr Wgn is getting a solid 11 in town and 14-16 on the hwy. And with the cheapest unleaded a dolla...

Re: 2014 MPG's
Just took about a 500 mile round trip, 90%+ on I-75, and averaged exactly 17.0MPG with cruise set at 65MPH in Ohio, and 70MPH in Michigan. Seems about right... I just installed some 315/70/17's, so we'll see what I can do with those once i get the speedo recalibrated. I hope to be able to stay in t...

315/70/17's on 2014 PW - stock wheels - no rub :)
I just installed 315/70/17 tires on stock wheels and can report that there is no rubbing on my 2014 Power Wagon SLT. Haven't been offroad, yet, so I'll check everything as I go my next trip out... Tires look great on this truck (should have come this way from the factory). They fill the wheel wells ...

Re: Speedometer calibration for 2014
When I got my 2014 I went straight to 315/70/17 tires and the dealer bought a Hypertech speedo calibrator that they used. Good news is when I picked up the truck, for some really odd reason, the salesman gave me the Hypertech speedo calibrator and said "I guess this is yours". Do you know the hyper...
