Re: Rebuilt Valve Body
So, last weekend I installed the unit from Nextgen Drivetrain love it. After the quick learn took a long test drive and it 100 percent took care of the P0871 code and super clunky shifting in the upper gears. After many stop and go light throttle runs to perform the drive learn it really feels tight...

Re: 66RFE Downshift Hesitation/Shudder
Late to this discussion, but I've had this same issue with my '14 since day one. Two different reflashes and a rebuild at 156,000 miles and it STILL does exactly the same thing. IIRC it's on a downshift from 3rd to 2nd under moderate throttle. Feels like its quick shifting back and fourth between tw...

Well, I guess I'm the guinea pig. I just ordered one yesterday. I'll post an update when installed.

Re: Transfer Case Position Switch
Is this switch adjustable? Mine has been doing this since a trans rebuild. I kind of figured there was some adjustability, but maybe it's just faulty

Rebuilt Valve Body
Hey guys, been a long time. My wagon needs a replacement valve body. I've narrowed my choices right now to the Nextgen Economax, or the Revmax towing H.D. unit. Anyone have a review on either unit? I.m leaning towards the Economax because I like the idea of an anodized switch valve bore. Thanks

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Finally getting the wagon back this week! Engine repaired, then onto new tires and brakes...it's always something. I've missed it, and need it for work

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Yeah I hear you, I've just had bad experiences with other brands when it comes to repairs like this. Hoping I don't have to fight with them about it...stay tuned

Curious if you've there's any progress on this? Ram is going to be repairing my lifter/cam issue but dealership says there will be a month wait at least. Service writer says because of parts shortage

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Just got off the phone with RAM and they are going to repair the truck under warranty! A case I had opened last fall before the warranty expired seems to have saved me. I'm waiting for them to let me know if they're changing all the lifters, or only the failed units. Told them I want all lifters cha...

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
No prob! I just learned this recently. Yeah the hellcat lifters are what I'm looking at doing to my truck. The stock cam is so cheap it's what I'd like to use, and I love the way the truck ran. New of course since the bad lifter wiped it out.

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Not to disagree, but there are. The lobe ramps on the mds cylinders are unique shape vs standard

Just thinking, do the 3500 6.4 trucks have mds?

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Yes they do. The 6.4 cam for direct replacement is only $60.! The closest non mds, vvt truck cam I came up with is the 2500 and and up 5.7 vvt non mds. I've been told this cam is not as aggressive, but haven't been able to actually look at specs for the two

Re: 14 power wagon lifter failure
Thanks. Any idea why some say mds cam shouldn't be used ? Sounds like something to do with the special ramps on the lobes

14 power wagon lifter failure
Hey guys. I just lost number 1 intake lifter at 104000 miles and it took the cam with it. If Ram refuses to fix and I repair it myself can anyone tell me if I can use the stock cam (replacement) with non MDS lifters? I've searched for hours and seem to get both yes and no answers
