They say that the helical LSD doesn't need friction modifier but after I did a fluid service on mine, I had a shudder as well. I added friction modifier and it went away. Give it a try. :cash: Interesting, I've always used redline without modifier. 75W90NS. https://www.redlineoil.com/75w90-ns-gl-5-...

I have the 38 page factory diagnostic and repair manual supplement for the PW winch. This forum doesn't support the PDF file format, so I'll email it to you.

:patriot:
Will send you a PM for the PDF... :excited:

Still got a temporary plate and your out saltin’ his ass up  No salt on the west coast, we're lucky. What!? Then what do they put down to melt the snow/ice?! Sand for traction only. The Sierra Club got CalTrans to stop using melt chemicals and salt. It was killing trees around Tahoe.

Interco Super Swamper SSR has that size if you go mud bogging. Full 35.3 inches tall.

I couldn't fit MT 35's as a spare when I tried it. Didn't fit between frame rails.

Re: 3G snorkel

Thanks, for fixing the link to your build. It's nice to see what others experienced and not have surprises when I do go to start the install. My Wagon is my daily driver until I get my beater working, so It may be awhile before I start drilling. I bought the hole saw, mastic, and zinc primer already.

Re: 2008 PW 285/75/17 VS 35/12.5/17

I'm running stock height and stock PW wheels. I tried some 305/70-17 Goodyear's that were about the same height as 285/75. 34"tall. It was probably my favorite size that I have tried, but they don't make a decent tire/brand in that size anymore. Didn't seem to have any negative other than a slight l...

Ordered one from Rocky Road Outfitters today Jan.2023. Will see if they can still get them.
I hit a big puddle of water at speed, at night, in a rainstorm. Splashed big time up on the hood. Glad it didn't hydro-lock.

6-speed is a rare breed in 3G Power Wagons. I couldn't find one in 2006.

Mule inspired me a few months ago to install one. This is a 2.5 lb halotron from H3R Performance. I was going to install a dry chemical on the passenger side but lost interest due to the PITA install.
Yeah my floor is dirty so what? Yes that is yellow Labrador hair, it's everywhere.

I got their flatlink multimount. Keep it in the center console when not in use. bought 4 Crosby 3/4" shackles and some tree-saver straps.
I don't use the factory Hook anymore.

Sell the truck, or trade it in, and buy a new one from a different dealer. Seriously, you got a lemon (No pun intended) that may have been root cause of something dealer had a hand in.

IDK about the newer Power Wagons, mine has been 10MPG combined hwy/cty since it was new. The Free spin kit didn't do anything except about 1mpg increase on the highway, with a tailwind. Parking it for extended periods of time is the best method.
