Nice David. Nothing but rain here in PA...like every other day it seems. I thought the saying was April showers bring May flowers. Seems like we can replace that with May and June this year.

In case you don't find an alternative. This is what my Purple Cranium looks like after a few years of abuse. Note the abdomen of the spider folded up. It has fully disappeared from the front one. Both are holding up structurally, but definitely show war wounds.

Re: SimonandSimonBeast Build
Installed this Desert Does It multi mount panel and quick release fire extinguisher mount. Also bolted on two rubberized magnet mounts to the back of the panel hold my knife and a multi tool. This system mounts to the two front seat bolts. A bit of Dremmel work is required if you want to put the tri...

I did the Abel full bypass as well. Great upgrade. Also, necessary for me since the SmartBar got fried with water incursion.

Cool tip. That's good to know. I've actually left my truck idling to get a partial charge on my phone before. Won't have to do that anymore.

Perhaps order your bearing parts from Mopar Online. I've even heard bad things about Timkin 3rd party parts these days. If you order Mopar, at least you know you are going to get OE spec.

Anatomy of a SmartBar 2.0
I've struggled with a situation with my 2013 Power Wagon for quite a while now where my truck had a flighty, darty feeling, constant micro adjustments, particularly on back roads that aren't flat. It verged on dangerous. Like most people who would experience this, I hunted down any source of wear an...

I also find with these connectors that if I apply some prying pressure with a broad flat head screwdriver on the face of the connector while I press the latch and pull at the same time with the other hand, they come off without damage. This allows the latch pressing hand to concentrate on pressing t...

Re: 2008 Winch repair/rewire help
Once you have the winch hooked to power, hook up the remote and power it one direction or another. If you hear strong clicking, your solenoids are most likely good. While powering in one direction take a mini-sledge to somewhat forcibly tap the motor housing to see if it frees up the motor to start ...

Also, I check measurement from bottom of rim through center of hub up to the bottom of fender flare. This ensures a vertical line and takes tire pressure out of the equation.

Re: Leaning truck
If you installed Thuren short arms, check your caster settings at the cam bolts. You could have one side sitting tall and the other laying back down low. Even if you didn't change the arms, check them. Also, check your coil springs are sitting nicely in position. Particularly check to top side where...

Re: 37" Tires on a 2008 Power Wagon
I know there are some people on here with 37x12.5 on 3rd gens, 3" Thuren coils. Not sure if you can still run the BDS long arm if they were designed for a 6 inch lift. Also. Not sure about that wheel off-set as it effects fender contact. I'm in a '13 4th gen with 37 x 13.5, I'm +22 offset with 17x9....

Still kicking. I think the traffic on here has gone down commensurately with the amount inflation has gone up in the last 2+ years.

Re: Abel Components locker bypass kit help
I have a 2013, but may be similar. Inside cab, one connector goes to module, other goes to locker/swaybar control knob. You should be able to pop the control knob out of the dash. Disconnect the OE connector (no longer needed) and connect the wire connector coming from the Abel control module. Might...

Re: Abel Components locker bypass kit help
If you have the new version that totally bypasses the smart bar for lockers and swaybar, it is designed to install under the dash. It doesn't T in to the harness on the passenger side. One wire runs straight to the dash control. The remainder go through a provided firewall grommet where it splits of...
