New Member Here
New guy here, I acquired my dad’s 2011 PW in August. I actually picked this truck up for him in 11’ brand new in Denver and shortly after installed a Northern Lights Slide-In for him. He rarely drove it over the years, and now it has a mere 32,000 miles on it. I drove it back to Montana from West Vi...

Re: NV271 Noise
Good info. I’ve never noticed it in my other 4x4s as much as I do in the PW. The more I listen to it the more normal is sounds. The NV271 is a monster of a T-Case, so I can imagine that would contribute to the overall noise.

Yes, only in 4wd. As soon as you pop it into 2wd no noise. It could be just the chain I’m hearing/feeling...

NV271 Noise
I was in 4 Hi today, very cold and snowy here in south west Montana, and I noticed that my T-case is fairly noisy. I’m still getting familiar with this truck (11’ PW), it shifts into low range and hi range just fine, but there does seem to be a little more T-case noise than I’m used to in hi range o...

Installing Steering Kit 11’ PW
Quick question,
Is it possible to install full steering kit without doing an alignment? Drag link and tie rods. Thanks.

Tie Rod End Advice
2011 PW Just replaced control arms and track bar with Thuren products and now need to figure out what route to go for tie rod ends. Seems odd to me that the tie rods already have play in them with only 31,000 miles on the truck, but oh well.. I’ve read some negative reviews on Synergy and my local s...

Re: Tire Feedback
Put on some 315/70R17 Toyo MTs today! The truck still had the original BFGs on it and they were horrendous...I’m rubbing the upper control arm at full lock, so I’m going to be mounting Thuren control arms. The ride is a vast improvement over the BFGs. I have the pressure set at 42 psi front and 35 r...

Spare tire location fit 315/70R17 tire on 11, PW
I just ordered five 315/70R17 Toyo MTs. Will this size fit in the stock spare location? I was looking under there today and it looked pretty tight. 2011 PW.

Re: Death Wobble 2011
I had the dealership take a look at the front end and they said the tie rod ends and track bar were the issue. I just ordered five 315/70R17 Toyo MTs. It will be interesting to see if this helps. If not, I’m going with a Thuren track bar and a Synergy HD steering kit.

Death Wobble 2011
Hey y’all, new member here! I just picked up a 11’ PW from my Old Man last week. It only has 30,000 miles on it and has spent some time sitting here and there in West Virginia. I’m somewhat familiar with the truck because I bought it for him in Denver, CO new in ‘11. I put a Northern Lights slide-in...
