Re: highway robbery
Just a little update for everyone.....After writing a letter to Ram corporate and sending it via fedex, I finally got a response. A reimbursement specialist from Ram customer care reached out and has agreed to reimburse the track bar even though they welded the drag link. I initially asked for the n...

Re: highway robbery
I just think it’s ridiculous for FCA to even consider that welding jam nuts on the adjustment portion of the track bar is a proper solution. Unfortunately this mean that a proper alignment requires the added expense of cutting and welding the link every time it gets done.

Re: highway robbery
After being passed up the chain to a star case manager, they say there’s nothing they can do because my track bar is within specs and welded. FCA IS calling this their permanent solution to the track bar problem. They won’t reimburse me for the synergy because mine was welded already. This is pretty...

Re: highway robbery
Wanted to post an update...spoke with FCA Ram customer care and was told “ in order to realign the truck properly the dealer or shop must cut off the welds and the metal sleeve will take some damage. I was also told that I should push for a free replacement part. I was then told call the FCA recall ...

Re: What did you do to your PW this week?
The Diablosport tuner really woke my PW up. Feels like I'm driving another truck. Sent some logs to Hemifever to let him do some adjusting on the tune. The tuner isn't the easiest thing to use tho. It has a learning curve to it. How many tunes from Hemifever do you get? And I’ve heard peop...

Re: What did you do to your PW this week?
Finally installed my locker bypass. Works great! Figured out why my headlight was bouncing around... ...the bolt behind the grille was missing. The other side was finger loose. Now the lower mount is broken. Removed the boot from my airbox(while I had it out to mount the box for the locker bypass)....

Re: What did you do to your PW this week?
Refinished my headlights. Installed my LED back up light bulbs. Tomorrow, installing my LED headlight bulbs, Thuren swaybar links, and Diablosport tuner from Hemiifever. Was going to do it today, but it was raining hard at times. I’m wondering how much of a difference the LED headlight bulbs are ov...

Re: What did you do to your PW this week?
I’m surprised there wasn’t one of these threads before, I’ve seen them on most other auto forums. Custom stainless transfer case shift knob I ordered came so I put that on. I also got a pair of v-bar traction chains, and test fit them. And last but not least I picked up my WKOR Sliders from the fre...

What did you do to your PW this week?
This week I got around to installing some goodies from the wife. Also saved enough to have the bed liner sprayed. 1. Line-x commercial grade bed liner. 2. Pelican 9410L lantern with rapid charging base. These are the same lights we carry for firefighting operations. I wired an interruptor switch inl...

Re: Grinding/rumble when shifting into reverse
I Marked the transmission with a knife and Tcase before it went in so i would know if it was replaced or not. I cant see the marks anymore and the transmission and Tcase color is shinier than my engine block, definitely looks newer. As for the noise it has continued to make it and my dealer has agre...

Re: Grinding/rumble when shifting into reverse
I got underneath the truck and looked. transmission looks brand new and so does the transfer case. I also marked with a grease pen the t case and transmission in an area so I could see if it was truly replaced. I drove another truck on their lot with 61k a 2016 power wagon and the transmission shift...

Re: Tire questions
I went with the 35 inch Duratracs at 40k miles (stock tires had at least another 10k miles left). I bought the 35s from Discount Tire because DT opened a bunch of stores in my area, and DT uses a road force balancer. I have a little over 10k miles on the 35s, and they are very difficult to balance,...
