If it comes with the winch line on the winch it isn’t tensioned. So you end up having to spool it all out and tension it prior to use.
Good to know, thanks

Re: Here it is!

You assume correctly, pdavey, and I dare say that I like the looks of this grille better than the other. But I realize that I now have a slight bias and I’m cool with that.

Here it is!

Welp, here’s the new rig!! It is at the dealer in Maine and I am in Tampa so I can’t answer too many questions about it until Thursday when I pick it up. Apparently I will be spooling the winch line onto the drum myself! Feast your eyes!

Re: 2019 build and price, kinda

yooper68 Thanks and you're welcome! I chatted with someone from Mopar owner site this morning, he was able to see that the truck is in transit but he had no location or eta info. It's actually going a little quicker than I thought, considering I placed my order on 2/12. Then again, I've known I want...

Re: 2019 build and price, kinda

Nothing’s wrong with the picture other than it being low quality. I ordered the tradesman with power wagon package, I was just being sarcastic with my response to olyelr. That is what a 2019 tradesman power wagon with clearance lamps and rambox looks like from the outside. Sorry for any confusion. B...

2019 build and price, kinda

https://www.hdrams.com/build-price-2019-ram-heavy-duty-lineup/ Hdrams.com has a link to a build and price feature for the new HDs somehow. I still can’t get there by just surfing the normal site, and it booted me off every time I clicked “calculate payment”. But at least I got a good look at my truc...

Re: Not a PW owner ... YET!

Couldn’t agree more. And vinyl floors! That should just be the way it is on a truck like this!!!! Glad to have a work truck that is going to get filthy on a regular basis, maybe even dinged up from time to time! Hopefully not, but probably so!

Re: Not a PW owner ... YET!

You should be able to go to any dealership and order one right now. I ordered the “Tradewagon” on 2/12 and it will start rolling down the line next Monday, 3/11. Apparently the new HDs have started slowly showing up at dealerships, but sparsely at best. I heard that in April the inventory to the dea...

So, if I read this right, would this be a direct fit, no spacer for our trucks (other than early 3G)

I thought the same thing. What does this tech note mean, if this isn’t the right gear...?

Re: Suspension setup to fit 37x12.5s on stock wheels with zero rubbing, esp. on genie lamps?!!

No, I found a few wheels that would work that don’t look too gaudy. Gear Alloy Trek or Manifold, Moto Metal Shift, KMC XD135 Grenade. I would rather do it right. All the writeups on thuren site have a bunch of info and if that guy recommends +18 then I’m fine with that. To be clear, with 17x9, 18 of...

Re: Suspension setup to fit 37x12.5s on stock wheels with zero rubbing, esp. on genie lamps?!!

Thanks. Are 13.5 tires just a preference for you or is it better because they’re that much wider? I always liked a skinnier tire that stayed in line with the truck as much as possible. Skinnier is better for cutting through snow too, maybe the same for mud? I apologize if I’m beating this topic to d...

Re: Suspension setup to fit 37x12.5s on stock wheels with zero rubbing, esp. on genie lamps?!!

“You can fit 37x12.5 on a bone stock truck, on the stock wheels, but the turning radius is reduced quite a bit with radius arm and swaybar rub.” “The ideal aftermarket wheel off-set, for the best overall tire clearance, is between +18mm and +25mm.” “Power Wagon is from +42mm to +57mm.” Thank you ver...

Crap! I had some more stipulations! I want to have a lifted stance and I don’t want the tires to stick out to the side at all. I love the looks of trucks from the 70s and 80s, when they came from the factory just rugged looking. I won’t lie, looks are pretty important to me! Thanks for the reply!

Suspension setup to fit 37x12.5s on stock wheels with zero rubbing, esp. on genie lamps?!!

If this question is better posed somewhere else please let me know but I’m wondering what my best option is to use the stock wheels with 37 inch tires. I am waiting for a 19 PW to arrive in the mail in a couple months but I believe most of the suspension is very similar to a 17-18. This truck will b...

Re: Locker Bypass Rebirth

Many thanks for taking the time to do this, Retired! I did this to my 07 Tacoma and it was F’ing A! I have a scheduled build date of March 11 for a 19 Tradesman PW (Dial transmission shift and push-button lockers). Is the wiring for the new ones largely the same as the 17-18s and would your unit ins...

Hello benking, great, purposeful set of options for your Tradesman PW, congrats, throw on some 35" tires and your good to go about anywhere! What color is the truck going to be? Getting it in what is apparently a new black color, diamond black crystal? It'll be my third black truck, I like it! And ...

New Power Wagon after 5 years of dreaming

I'm new to this site and to Ram truck ownership, but on Tuesday I ordered my 2019 "Power Wagon"! Quotes are because I opted for the Tradesman with PW package, RamBox, 220 amp alternator and clearance lamps. The vinyl floors and seats and basic radio in the Tradesman suit me well, and I still get all...
