Re: PW Tradesman Option

Hey, good news. Thanks for the quick replies. My friend says he can live with an "underground" Power Wagon.

PW Tradesman Option

What, if any, are the differences between the Tradesman option and the straight-up Power Wagon besides interior stuff and wheels? Lift? Suspension? Protection? Asking for a friend who is a little turned off by the new PW grill and tailgate branding.

Re: 2017 Power Wagon Q&A

Mike, Thanks for your detailed response and those great pictures. If I can get those great off road attributes and decent towing horsepower to boot, then why not avoid the complications of a diesel. Looks like a great setup. I like the looks of the Laramie PW.

Re: 2017 Power Wagon Q&A

Indeed, they have, it's 7,000 lbs. I've been pulling a 27ft 6890lbs Airstream for a year with the PW, and his is 18ft & 3500lbs, he should be good with the PW. I believe my 2015's is rated just under 10k, like 9800 or something, been awhile. Not a problem for me personally. I know that's a deal bre...

Will this "repair and resell" nudge down what new trucks sell for in 2016?

Re: 2015 Laramie/SLT Options

olyeir, Let me know if you get any good info. Right now, I'm feeling "less is more" when it comes to the decoration. But mostly, I'd just like to know what the truck will have or not have when I order it. If you want a work truck but with a few luxuries, like leather seats, why should you have to do...

2015 Laramie/SLT Options

I'm having trouble finding a sales person who much less knows what a PW is let alone one who can help me with these options from the Ram Build Site. Looking for help from those of you who have recently filled your order or made your purchase. The build site indicates that in the Laramie trim, the Tr...

Re: 14 MPG!

And the dirty little secret here is you just don't gain much by compulsively driving faster and faster. You're thinking that driving 80 instead of 60 gets you there in three hours instead of four, but that's only if you almost never have to decelerate/accelerate for trucks and school buses, deer cro...

Need Truck Shop Rec for Prineville Oregon Area

Can anyone recommend a good shop for suspension work in the Prineville/Redmond/Bend area? You can pm me if you don't want to alienate any locals.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 Power Wagon Availability?

Just spoke with a high volume Ram dealer who told me now it's June or July, and so I'm assuming the 2015 model is now part of the negotiation. A new PW seems more and more like a moving target and when it comes to so many $ at stake, I like to know where things stand. Might be a deal-breaker for me.

Re: 2014 PW (or not)?

Guys, thanks for your quick responses: Yes, I'm recently reading, too, that the PW will not have the air bag option when the coils come out in '14. Yes, "behave" is a little subjective. I'm thinking about safety at highway speeds, coming off steep grades, side-sway, headlights in the trees, etc. Tha...

Re: 2014 PW (or not)?

Does anyone know when the 2014's with the new Hemi, the 4.10 diff., etc will be available? And my last question is how a 1200lb slide-in camper will behave over the new rear coil suspension? Many thanks.

Re: 2014 PW (or not)?

Twinsitck, I will admit to having a slight case of PWE, but don't worry as I will NEVER be a poseur. First of all, I'm pretty sure with enough gas and the right truck, I could drive across Oregon length-wise on gravel or dirt and never touch pavement. Second, I have been stuck at the end of too many...

Re: 2014 PW (or not)?

Folks, thanks for all the excellent advice and support for a PW. I'm getting ready to buy something I know I don't "need", but really really want. So it's good to read the positive comments which make taking the next step much easier. I'm not a hardcore boulder hopper, but an old fern hopper/logger/...

2014 PW (or not)?

I'm a new poster posing another vague "should I buy a PW" question to a board of nuts-and-bolts experts, but here goes anyway since this group obviously knows their chit: I do a lot of driving on abandoned water-barred logging roads, and a lot on heavily washboarded USFS roads here in Oregon--some i...
