Re: Transmission troubles HELP
I wanted to update this thread just in case others had the same problem. Replaced the solenoid pack and took it for a quick test drive. Thought it was fixed and no. Same problems when I started towing. Threw the code so I stopped into dealership. Was told it was my solenoid, and I mentioned how I ha...

Re: Transmission troubles HELP
Glad to hear you say that as I’m currently researching auto parts places near me. Everyone so far is out of stock of course and can’t have anything here by Tuesday. Looks like I should’ve stayed in Colorado!! Your response does help me with a little more confidence in buying it online so it gets sho...

Transmission troubles HELP
Alright guys needing some help before I try and tear into this tomorrow. While driving to Colorado I had a hard downshift with higher RPMs going from 5th to 4th. The transmission then basically stuck in fourth gear. I was scared to stop because I didn't know if the truck would downshift properly. Bu...

Re: Swaybar disconnect killing battery?
Have a buddy with a 2011 PW who is dealing with his battery draining. He says he can hear and feal a ticking in his swaybar and thinks that’s what’s causing the battery to die if’s not used regularly. He said he pulled the swaybar 30 amp fuse and the ticking is still there. Also swaybar will not di...

Re: How I Fixed My Code P0456
Great stuff! I spend a good amount of time on dry dusty roads and at 94,000 miles, it’s only a matter of time before this code emerges! Thanks so much for all the info…and further info!

Re: Kanati trail hog review
Thanks for the review POk3s! I have been looking into some of the off-brand tires lately, and the Trail Hogs were one that interested me. How were they in snow? They seem to look a lot like the Duratracs, but the 3 ply sidewall interested me. I am running Cooper STT Pros, and they are wearing prett...

Kanati trail hog review
Somewhere, I swear I had a post about this already but I can’t find it. I even went through all my posts on my profile and nothing. Anyway, about a year and a half ago I gambled on some 315/70/17 kanati trail hogs and caused a little bit of dismay among some users. In fairness, it probably would’ve ...

Re: Power Wagon mileage thread
jeez, do you guys even drive your trucks? ;) I'll have over 73,000 on my 17 by the time the weekend is over. I just about got a vehicle for everyday of the week. '07 Honda VFR, '08 PW, '09 Motorhome, '11 370Z Nismo, '13 Grand Cherokee. What gets better mileage... the PW or the motorhome? :D

Re: Power Wagon mileage thread
Valid reasons...I suppose
Living in wyoming, everything is a drive. Plus I like to go to different states on hunting trips. I guess we all use them for what we bought them for!

I bought the same size and no rubbing. I would say most folks here have that same size tire.

Re: Powerwagon's best model year 2005-2020?
As you can see, whichever one a guy owns is the best year ;) . I don’t know enough nuts and bolts specifics to tell you which is the best one. Like you, I didn’t want to pay that “new price” so I found a fully loaded 2017 (minus the ram box) in August of 2018 for what I feel was a great price. As fa...

I did, going to get him officially scored sometime soon...whenever I remember. He was 359 gross and 352 net. The 4th is around 24”. I believe 23 and change.smokewagon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 11:24 pmNice bull! Did you score him? The G4 on the left looks 9 miles long!

You can also force the steps to stay deployed by stepping on them, apply pressure, and shut door. They'll stay deployed until you open and close door. Not sure what good that does, you really can't reach the roof top standing on the steps. Its rare that I have the answer to anything on this site bu...

Had you been at the right place at the right time you could’ve got some! I had to hurry and scramble and bring my sister her “Christmas present” of elk meat

Very cool Low Sky!! I went up and did the haul road hunt once. I killed a small bull on my last day after only seeing a handful or caribou. Trying to plan a fly in trip for the future!

:nopics: :nopics: :nopics: I was able to kill a great bull with my bow and in the process, get my first cool shots with something big in the back of the PW. Side note - about 5,000 miles ago I purchased some Kanati Trail Hog 35s due to nothing but great reviews as I tire shopped. I’ve been extremely...

I also have them and like them. I was worried and was told “ah you’ll just rip them off.” Or I had a buddy tell me that during the winter Is hate them and that I’d end up ruining them. Well I’ve had the truck with them on it for over a year now and except for a few times they were frozen against the...

Okay thank you. At least I know the signs for one problem. I’m hopeful it’s just a random electrical gremlin that I can deal with.
