Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
So i went on to the site http://www.unhaggle.com and filled in some stuf and I had a few emails this morning from Dodge city in Saskatoon and another dealer in Regina. I emailed them both back with "my list of demands" and I guess we'll see how it plays out. Im really interested in seeing how they d...

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
So I just got off the night shift (I'm an electrician at a mine for a day job, farming supplements the income) and the rig was plugged in all night and today wouldn't even attempt to turn over. The wife is currently driving to get me. I'm not too impressed. The battery is toast. It just flashed a bu...

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
The little sister n laws boyfriend is a cop in vegerville so I may be down some time in the new year. I'll pm you if I ever have the chance. As for the aux switches, my truck has them and I couldn't do without. Can the truck be ordered with them or could I put them in after the fact and only use the...

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
I'm near Saskatoon in sask canada. I have seen the odd truck around but nothing new other than on the lot. My biggest thing about a different truck is that I'll always envy a wagon and not having that capability wether I need it or not. At the moment, I need it. If I bought a different rig it would ...

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
I was under the assumption you could run airbags with 10lbs of air in and that would help with the hop? I would for sure be running the bags with the daystar cradles in the new truck.

The ups and downs of the 2014?
I also need to call londonberry dodge in Edmonton about adding 315/70/17s and retaining factory warranty. I like the idea of driving a new rig off the lot with everything I want done to it (apart from the bypass which will be our little secret)

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
I have the bypass from myoung on my truck and it's by far the best mod I've done. I'll be moving that to my new truck. I would like to get it factory line-x coated on the rockers and bumpers and grill. I'm all about making it tough. I don't really care about looks so much as function. I'm considerin...

Re: The ups and downs of the 2014?
I have a 2010. It has served me well and I have used it in places that the others could not go ie: calving and checking cows in 3+ feet of snow, hauling water etc. whatever I got would need lockers and a winch one way or another. I'm not a huge fan if a diesel, I have access to the brother in laws i...

The ups and downs of the 2014?
My truck has seen better days. Pretty much since I bought it I have had problems. Starting problems, electrical problems, winch and locker problems and of course the notorious death wobble. Only a few months ago I had dodge do the tie rod recall and since then my truck has rode worse than ever and h...

Re: aux switch panel
You "could" still use it. I would get a new one if it's bad but you could wire it thru a relay and your load thou the normally closed side, you would have to wire the load so it only comes on when the ignition is on so not to drain the battery. I come from a place where you make things work if they ...

image.jpg I think this is what you're after. I know I've looked long and hard for them. I'm sure a welding shop can whip them up fast. Sorry about the chevy picture. I would try and build some but I'm not a welder and don't trust my skill enough to load 20,000 + lbs of weight on it. Good luck :winc...

Re: 4th Gen Leveling Kit
I bought a steel 2" one from eBay. Can't remember what it cost. It wasn't too bad to instal but I have a fully equipped shop with a lift. It would be tough to do in a driveway. And a better coil spring compressor than I have is a must. I have one made for regular springs. Not big mean heavy dodge sp...

Re: Manual shift buttons NFG ??!!
Yikes. I just checked mine descending a steep hill going down to my tree stand. Was able to keep it at +1 the whole time. Yeah those brand new trucks'll do that for you. This old girl has seen some better days. Maybe it's time for a trade in. There's a nice white Laramie pw at the dealer here that ...

Re: Check engine light p0456
Would a bad purge solenoid contribute to starting problems? I've always had an intermittent problem that when I start the truck, it turns over more than a few times but then starts. It always starts but just has to turn over for a few seconds. I just got the same code and cleared it with my scanner....

Re: Traded in my 2011 for a 2014
So what did the dealer say about going with the bigger tires? How does that affect your warranty? Will they try and screw you if you need a ball joint replaced or something even small? I'm from near Saskatoon and would definitely travel to pick one up if they are willing to do all that for me Sent f...

Re: 2014 Payloads
Ok all that said, if a guy were to put in some kick ass airbags and the daystar cradles, could you use the new trucks to haul as much as the old ones? I know going over the suggested ratings is bad blah blah blah but this is a tool more than a toy for me.

Transfer Case is starting to fail.
I replaced my tcase a few months ago. When I was in 4wd and hard on the gas, you could hear the chain skipping on the gears. I took it apart and found that the inside looked pretty much like a grenade went off. Ordered a new case, put it in the truck. All is well. Could never get my indicator light ...

Re: Traded in my 2011 for a 2014
Very nice! Looking forward to hear if my locker bypass fits the 14... I will be looking to see if the connections are the same. I am a little worried to plug it in though, don't want to fry any electronics on the new truck. MYoung, what do you think? If the connections are the same would I be safe ...
