Mufflex Magnaflow bolt on and resonator removal

Post by PWJouster » Mon Jun 11, 2018 4:29 pm

looking to install the mufflex magnaflow kit.

then chop off that rear resonator with a turn down tip next to the rear wheel.

does anyone have this exact setup, and what exhaust tip did you utilize? looking to find the right exhaust tip that can clamp down and not be welded.

it seems everyone has trustworthy welders to get their tips on

I think the Y-Pipe delete provides the best sound on these Hemis

I'm not sure what he means but the OE y pipe is probably the largest restriction in the exhaust system. Duals aren't needed if you replace the Y pipe and run 3.5" pipe back.

Yep, very cheap too. Just cut off the y-pipe and pull all the shit off behind it. Ta-daaaa!

I suppose open headers sound better but the neighborhood doesn’t like them

Yes..I did that exact thing. Mufflex + chop the resonator & dump exhaust after the axle. Used standard 90deg turn
