The big problem with Kinnettick is they just trick the system into thinking it's in 4-Low which means you end up with 4-low throttle mapping in 4 hi. Not ideal.

Yeah, I want the one that takes the Smartbar out of the equation. I don't care if I have it in 4wd high, I just find it annoying that it doesn't lock with out finesse. My ARB's. When you flip the switch. It locked. That's what I want.

I don't think there is much finesee involved as we think. I think your tires need to be able to slip so the gears can align and I think there is a speed limiter. Like you have to be under 3mph or something. I think people are trying to go too fast, or not moving at all, or on a surface that a tire can't slip. That's my lame theory anyway. I know mine got easier when I started not doing that, using them often, changed my first gear fluid and placed MagFilters in the diffs. /shrug. I know when i wasn't staring at it... and I needed them in Moab they were snapping right in.

My lockers almost always engaged quickly. Never had the problems others seem to have. I think Zak is onto something. There is a built in limiter. 3mph
Also, your axle can be under tension and you might need to unload it/roll to lock. It’s the same with unlocking. Sometimes it will take a minute to unload.
Another thing about bypasses and what not. With the center axle disconnect, I can engage my front pocket in 2 hi but the wheels won’t lock because the CAD only engages in 4Lo.
Not a huge deal to me, since I’m usually already in low when I want the front axle locked.
That being said, hard wire is INSTANT. It’s by far my favorite mod next to my King shocks.
I have stated in the past I didn’t see a need for a bypass, but my smart bar had the plug corrod. And now that I did it, I love it. I see the appeal.
It’s just nice to be in Moab on an obstacle and turn those t suckers on and off when I need them.

Do you get any warning lights or errors displayed on the dash when you activate them that way? What about the sway bar disconnect, did you hard wire that to a switch also?

There is no way to wire up the disconnect, to much computer control crap going on there. It's also, really nice to be able to use the sway bar disconnect in 2Hi. So many trails that don't really need 4 wheel at all, but are just rough enough that eliminating the sway smooths out the ride for the rest of the day.

im really debating going evo air disconnect...
i keep on feeling like i need in cab control, so i can flick it off for daily driving on torturous florida highways and back on before i take the exit ramp at 80.
my hold up is the fact that no bar is way to soft with body roll, thurens requires you to tie it up if you want to disconnect, and the stock bar has too many holdups with the computer.
an on demand in cab evo disconnect with no computer faults just seems like the best option.
how reliable should that coupled with an air system be?
why dont more people utilize the evo air disconnect when it solves so many issues... an air system is just the kicker.

AIr would be nice. The only reason I didn't do that, was my smartbar went bad literally two weeks before we left for Power Wagons in Moab last year, so I ordered the manual one to just get it put in and be done with it in the amount of time I had to get stuff done.
I've seen a lot of Jeepers with the air version. Although even more run an Anti-Rock sway bar which is a torsion based bar.

I had a Currie Antirock. It is effectively the same as a Thuren or Carli bar.

If/when my smartbar dies, I’ll do the EVO manual disconnect.
I don’t want swaybar control all the time bad enough to give up working on-the fly control with the limits imposed by Ram.
The air power disconnect is on my radar, but I wouldn’t put in an onboard air system just to run a swaybar.

They raised the price on that thing by about 10 bucks vs what I paid back in April.
If you're clever you could just make one yourself, it's literally a plate, with a screw that pushes the plunger or whatever you want to call it, inwards to disengage the sway bar. It's all mechanical. This could be made very very easily. Maybe cheaper than 98 bucks, but 98 bucks less any hassle/effort on your part too. So that's up to you on whether that's valuable or not.

The Anti-Rock is a different spring rate as stock. It’s the same exact principal. The stock swaybar works through Torsion as well, like all swaybars.
I just hooked my swaybar up yesterday after two years of having he links removed. I’ll take some rebound out of the bypasses and see how it feels. I definitely think that these trucks benefit from a light swaybar. A stiff swaybar is too much for daily driving and off-road. No swaybar leads to just too much chassis roll off-road. A light swaybar would be ideal for all round use, I think

I Am Going on board air for my tires, so it only makes sense to throw a solenoid and air line on....
