Thuren driver side e brake drop bracket

Post by kgries » Sun Oct 07, 2018 5:06 pm

So I installed the bracket but for the life of me I can’t tell from the picture what I do with the old bracket.

I tried to keep it on the lip of the thuren bracket but it just falls off.

Anyone have any clear pics of theirs?

well yeah but whats the point of the drop bracket then lol

the passenger side atleast holds the e brake cable.

from the design of the driver side it seems like it does nothing

The drivers side e-brake bracket replaced the factory bracket. You installed it on the frame, correct? They mount in totally different spots between the two sides. The drivers side has a round cutout in the bracket to fit around the round tube protruding through the frame at the top of the wheel well.

yes, i installed it properly. i just don't get what it actually does for the e brake cables since it doesnt seem to hold them further down

Instead of holding the cable it allows it to hang free and protects it from the tire. As long as that cable is away from the tire side of the bracket you should be good! The cable is stiff enough to be self supporting.

Ah so it’s just stoping the cable from getting caught on anything rather then actually holding it. Got it
