Rear Kings On

Post by ramv » Sat Sep 29, 2018 10:10 pm

Got the new springs, track bar, sway bar end links, and Kings in today.

Trackbar mount took some time. Lots of drilling. Dewalt 18 volt handled it but was slow. Otherwise, not too bad.

Factory lugs nuts are jacked. New ones are are good. Will do my fronts one of these days.

Quick test drive was good. Definitely no reason to go around the round about. Straight through works. Dirt, was stability was a buzz kill. Suspension not so much.

The rear spring were much longer than stock. I had to compress them to get them in. Ride height seems about the same. I have my SXS deck in (300 lb) and its not sagging.

The e brake brackets are works of art. I'd do them on a stock truck just for bling.

From what I can tell, no real down travel improvements to do 12" veruss 10". Especially with the traction shock. Everything seems to line up. Plus 12"s would suck to install.

I mounted the Wireless one air compressor/solenoid to the beds "frame" up underneath the gas cap. High enough that it doesn't get splashed and under the bed so doesn't get the elements. Plus it's quiet.

Hose to t to drivers airbag to rear bumper (air fitting there) to the passenger side bag.

Do you have one way valves separating the bags?

No. For the size of the air line I don’t see it doing much.
