First time Ram owner!

Post by Udy2554 » Mon Aug 13, 2018 10:21 pm

New to the Mopar world! Just bought a 2018 Power Wagon! Lots of bells and whistles! Still learning how to use it all! It’s my first new vehicle too!

Added 35x12.5 DuraTracs to fill the wheelwells a bit!

Towed a toyhauler last weekend, 120+ miles round trip! Airlift 5000ultinate and Daystar cradles are ordered!

Sorry your first post had to be a source of frustration with loading pictures. Glad to know that I'm not the only one having problems loading multiple pictures  . I'm looking forward to the new software migration.

Welcome. Where abouts do you live?

Just curious, what's your trailer weight? I haul a 20' toy hauler that weighs in around 9k loaded and it levels me out.

I have the same cradle/bag combo and it works well. However, just remember that when you use the bags with your WD hitch it will essentially counteract against what the hitch was designed to do. As you add air in the bags and lift the back of the truck, it will also take the weight distribution away from the front of the truck. So the initial setup of the WD hitch can be a bit more tricky.

Also, unless you have a leveling kit on the truck, you should be able to tune that WD hitch in better to get it level. I have that exact same hitch and with my travel trailer (7000 pounds empty) my truck sat perfectly level (until I put the leveling kit on). I have 6 washers at the head of my hitch.

Hmmm, just got notified!

I’m in Naples NY!

Dry weight is 7200+! RZR @ 1400, H2O @ 700! Food, clothes, fuel, beer, etc @ 500! I’m guessing with incidentals, I’m a bit over 10,000!

Towed well at all speeds with Equalizer WD! Stopped well too, though no panic braking yet! Bags and cradles are in my garage! Mounting it all Friday after work!

It loves fuel, especially on the hills around here!

Awesome setup! It looks great. I have been tossing around the airbag thing myself.
