It took mine about 8-9 weeks to reach the dealer iirc, though it took me 4 more weeks to pick it up in Boise. Once it is built it can take a long time to get to the dealer. If you are having the dealer install sliders or something like that, it takes extra time. There is also a several week lead time for those, so don’t wait for the truck to show up.

Currently there is a national railcar shortage that FCA has had an issue dealing with. Currently build time for a Powerwagon is roughly 5-6 weeks. Shipping can easily add 4 weeks onto that. I would expect anywhere from 7-10 weeks to give you a safe estimate

I live on the east coast so that should add some time for shipping great. Worth the wait as long as it’s not built on a Friday lol

Well... if your on the East Coast, and this falls through... National Dodge has one on their lot... I test drove her the other day and it really makes me second guess trading in OX for her. She has all the bells and whistles.

When I ordered mine in '08. Took 3 weeks to build, and 3 weeks to ship. 1 of those weeks in shipping was actually in shipping. The other 2 weeks. It sat on the train in Buffalo NY. :box: Told the dealer that I want to go up and pick it up there. He said that they won't let me do that. :box:

Thats true actually, they wont even let us go and pick cars up that are sold, much less customers themselves

The dealer emailed me saying it is scheduled to be built around August 4 which is a Saturday so I am assuming maybe Monday we’ll see

There is build, then it goes to another building where things like the bedliner is installed (not sure what else) and then it waits for a train. Then it spends a few days or a week+ on the train to get unloaded and transfer to the next train in a week or two, then they unload it a few days after that to wait until there are both enough vehicles and a free truck to take it to the dealer.

And that's IF there are no issues that require troubleshooting after assembly.

Sorry ssiannino, it's a slow process with a lot of potential hold ups.

I am assuming this is one of 5 Million reasons they are shutting down Mexican operations. Delivering product will be a lot faster and cheaper when you do not have to deal with cross border logistics from Mexico.

This is also why some believe the new trucks from Mexico have issues. The workers know they are shutting down the plant.

I hope that’s not the case with the truck being built in Mexico that would suck buying a lemon or even better ordering a lemon. No word yet on the status going to call today to find out if it is built yet.

Don't worry - it's not like the Mexicans are racing your truck around the desert... or are they? :poke:
