The BLM has a long history of doing illegal stuff and making up reasons to do what they want. The recent set of trials showed that clearly. Along with a willingness to lie under oath.

Just got some WIFI. and just found this out. Mike, you are good dude , and taking responsibility for the fuck up is good character. Beers on me when I see you.

I AM STILL GOING> , but will be camping at Williams Bottom next to the Colorado River at the trail head for Poison Spider Mesa,, then at the trail head of Pritchetts Canyon, for the trip unless things change. I will catch up in the evenings with all of you all at wherever the hell everyone is mostly camping. OR catch up on Williams Bottom for a camp fire and beers like 2015. its $4 a night and a skip to town for supplies.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, and obviously it will be hectic as to where everyone is going to be camping/Staying last minute for reservations. My cell phone won't work at Williams Bottom (which is a good thing)

Let try to get a designated area to meet up for beers at night, Preferably where the most people are camping etc. and I will come to you all.

Packing the camper and trailer as we speak. Im leaving out of Florida on the 24th and will be rolling from the south through Moab by the 27th.

Wouldn't it be a good idea. to post some phone numbers for the crew that is def. attending?? So that we can all be able to touch base with a print out of peoples numbers?

Still going to be an epic trip

The area is the same as last year, the one I sent you, about 20 of us will be there. Everything is DL now. ;)

Jeff, Chris & Jonny + you seem to be the 2015 alumni. Everyone else is 2016 & 2017 alumni minus the newbs who don't bail.

Also, this is the thing about FB, I don't think anyone is barely using this but you and Chris. We've all been chatting for months. Sorry broski. I'll shoot you my number.

I have confirmation on 28 of peeps who are still taking "vacation in moab", 6 who canceled already and the others I haven't heard a peep from since they paid so who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well what a crock of SHIT!

Truth of the matter... you guys can go from an organized event to an unorganized event real quick, without changing much of anything. Just a lot of prep you have done, Mike, for basically nothing now. You guys will still have a ball. Wish I was part of it!!!

I don't know, but they commented we have a really nice website. Someone could have asked or said something. But they ended up on the website because they found my contact info, which is not on the FB page. Or someone was a D-Bag. I do have some haters.

So...what happens if Mr. BLM guy shows up while two or more separate groups happen to be in the same place, at the same time? So if there are lets say 20 trucks out there, does it really matter if they're all together or split in groups of 10 a few miles apart?

Maybe I'm an Idiot, but I can't seem to find anything about permits or fees online. Can they cite any particular laws/regulations/RSA's? Sounds like some arbitrary bullshit to me. I mean, I can understand a small, reasonable fee to pay for maintenance, etc., but that's just bullshit, especially since, as you say, that's OUR land. :wtf:

Sorry to hear this. Some-day I'll be able make the trek out-there with you guys. Good luck.

I'm sorry this has happened. It's abhorrent what govn't overreach and the nanny state have done to bastardize utilization of OUR resources. Makes me sad and rethink my occupation sometimes. Best of luck in your individual vacations. I hope you all still get a chance to meet up with each other.

It is a real shame. Charging for events like these and requiring insurance should be limited to for profits or much larger groups certainly. I am attempting to get into river rafting this year. And its is BRUTAL with extreme enforcement. Almost takes the fun out of it. I gave up Cave Exploration because the Government( and cool aid drinking supporters) made it absolutely no fun. It is simply depressing. The thing the future is just less organization. Just say we are meeting here to run trails. Don't collect money and or schedule anything special. No special website ect. Also you have to realize the BLM like all land managers is mostly now environmental extremists. And environmentalist troll web site looking to break up OHV events. Its likely someone reported you. In Utah it happens a lot.

Gun45boat your arriving Friday or Saturday? I'll be there Saturday I hope as long as the old PW has no problems. I'll be coming in hot. Can't wait to drink a cold one with you. By the way I just put a fresh coat of rattle can on the MOAB (Most Overnight Adventure Breakages) driveshaft! Note to self do not let Mike spot he thinks you drive a buggy lol. No sir it's just as bada$$ as a tube buggy but body panels dent real easy and long wheel base isn't good on driveshafts but it's 1BADPW!!!!!! Another note to self "Hey stupid you need to drive this thing 1200 miles back home" 😂

PS damn I need me some cool tube doors!

I'll be leaving Vegas on Saturday, staying a night in Torrey Utah (Dark Sky town) to watch the stars and Milky Way then head into Moab on Sunday morning.

I'll probably get to the campsite sometime around noon. Don't be surprised to find a new rig parked when you guys get back from the trail.

Looking forward to hitting a few trails with the group.

I will be there on Sunday. It's 360 miles from my house with an 11000 ft pass in between so should be there before dark. We were going to camp without the trailer, but as long as there's going to be room we are planning on bringing it. John

Updated ETA is likely next Thursday morning, not that I want to drive 18 hours to immediately sit in a recovery class. See you suckers there!!
