New forest partol truks

Post by verdesardog » Mon Jan 29, 2018 10:10 am

Darn sheriff office is getting new trucks for the forest patrol division...they're getting Rapturds! I said Power wagons would be much better suited for what they do (search and rescue etc. lots of off highway work) I was told the motor pool guys had some issues with dodge so they will never get Dodges again, what idiots!

Tell them to check the track record of the cruiser Explorers and they'll never buy Fords again...

I would take a Power Wagon for work anyway. Too bad I work in town and the Sheriff's deputies work in the sticks. I would love to have one for work!

You can't fix stupid.

The reason they probably switched is because of the crappy factory ball joints. If someone who really don't know much about trucks, see's that all of their Dodge's are getting their upper & lower ball joints replaced 2-3x per year, per truck, that would make the uneducated person say :wtf: . If they were edumicated on trucks, they would know that there are a few fixe's for that. .............One & done-Carli, Dyna-Trac, EMF.

Just sayin'. :D

No one wants to buy a new vehicle and have to make warranty trips back to the stealership for issues. No one wants to have to go back for free recalls either. A manufacturers model reputation is everything. Gen 3 Ram trucks have had a bad reputation with shitty front end death wobbles.

So do 4th Gens & 5th Gens, that's why there are extreme duty ball joints avail for them all (5th Gen avail early 2018) ---nothing has changed there. If they were so much better, there would be no need for after market parts. As long as they use ball joints that are on different axis & u-joints in the front axle, there is the possibility of death wobble.

All trucks have their issues, including the Ford Raptor. We all know that.

You cant say nothing has changed - The front end is a completely different setup with radius arms... you knew that?

There will always be aftermarket parts - regardless of how good or bad the OEM setup is

My upper ball joints have been wobbling since the first tire rotation (actually, probably earlier than that).

Regardless. Yes. All vehicles, all brands, all models have their issues. The power wagon isnt secluded.
