Torn between Method and KMC
Really like the styling of the Method Double Standard and the KMC Bully wheels. Any one have positive or negative experience of one brand over the other? Thanks.

But not as strong as your factory wheel.
But Methods would still be my choice, I never had any problems with them.
I had the Method Double Standards on 35's they're a great looking tire. But Methods would still be my choice, I never had any problems with them.

If you don't run hard, either should be fine.

True.
I guess its no different than the guy who just HAAAAAS to have the Power Wagon package yet only uses 4 wheel drive once every blue moon. Pffffff, some people.

Re: Torn between Method and KMC
I don't do any mudding or rock crawling. I set up the truck so that I can hit the desert roads at "reasonable" speeds. Definitely keeping the stock wheels for now but upgrading to aftermarket wheels with less spacing will provide me with a wider-wheel base, allowing more stability and bigger tires to be mounted (without any rub). Good input so far gents.

They don't buy a wheel that will explode. Make sure they're rated for high speed whoops.

Re: Torn between Method and KMC
If you want an aftermarket wheel, buy an aftermarket wheel. But the Power Wagon wheels are about as good as you can get. Very strong, and a good offset for proper fitment. Going wider won't do jack for stability but if there's a look you're going for or you want forged wheel, those would be an upgrade.

Running hard in Texas means getting off the interstate lol.. heck I ran between south first street and downtown Austin today and hit more potholes, whoops and avoidance of homeless and hipsters than you guys have to deal with in a month.

Re: Torn between Method and KMC
I have the Method Standards on mine. they actually make one with a better offset than the Double standard in a 17 " 5.75 back space, more options in a 18" wheel.
I like mine, the fit and finish was really nice. As others have said they are a cast wheel, so be aware of how you are going to use them. If I get Kings and want to wheel hard at some point I will probably put the stock weheels back on or go with a forged wheel or beadlock.

2016 Tradesman White, adding mods now, 37 Ridge Grapplers on Method Standards 17 x 8.5 x 5.75 BS, Thuren Overland front 1.5" Kit. SLT Grill, Mopar Steps. More Thuren stuff soon....
Re: Torn between Method and KMC
Either should be fine for street and moderate off-road, if you want to get high speed and abusive then save your money and buy a better wheel to begin with.
And there are different grades of “cast” wheels, they’re not all made equal, for instance trailready hd 17’s are pressure cast and extremely strong and durable. Quite a few trophy trucks run them, those guys have the budget to use whatever wheel they want and are going pressure cast.
