Stock 15 with 37s

Post by israelstanage » Sun Oct 08, 2017 10:32 am

Joined the cool guy club and went with 37s this time. Went with the Mt instead of the RT as well. Slight trimming needed on plastic wheel well liner. These tires are super quiet for the level of tread aggression. Way more quiet than the worn out RTs anyway.

I did. Started with the actual measurements then did some fine tuning with the GPS on the highway.

All Toyo's are quiet when you first put them on. Those MT's sing once they have some miles on them. My RT's are decent for a big lug tire but after 15k miles I wouldn't call them quiet.

Have a couple questions for ya as I've been considering upgrading the shoes for my 17' PW.

1. Did you notice any MPG drop after putting on those 37s?
2. Do those 37s rub when you lock out the steering wheel to either direction?

Thanks.

This was my experience too. Very quiet. Was surprised, then after about 500 miles, the got louder.

1. Haven't noticed a drop in MPG but have only driven it a few hundred miles and I had 35s. Definitely a little less responsive with more rubber.
2. Slight rub on sway bar at full lock turning right. Didn't rub when full lock turning left.

Ditch pics. Thuren springs up front might be in order.

The won't make it flex any further. That's limited by the shock.

Not looking for more flex. Want the extra inch and half lift up front.
