Anyone running a 12-16 ktm 500 exc? I was planning on splurging on Thuren Kings but the bug bit me again and I just cant resist another motorcycle. Any tips or experiences would be awesome!

I'm still on an '07 525 XC-W. I can't kill it.

But if I were to total it tonight, i'd be on the phone with my dealer for one of those 500's.

They make pretty good snowbikes too. ;)

If I was getting a dirt bike. 80% chance it would be a KTM.

In California everyone ran Japanese bikes for the linked rear suspension as it works better for desert riding. I've been super happy with my YZ450f Yamaha. Now that we're in Oregon and it's all trail riding, I've hardly seen a handful of jap bikes. Almost everyone is riding a KTM, lots of Huskies, lots of 2-stroke enduros. My Yamaha definitely doesn't steer right on the trails, though I'm happy with the suspension after turning the adjusters. I'm really interested to try a Euro bike and see why they're so preferred on the trails.

Seems like alot of love for the KTM's so far haha. Full disclosure 99 percent of its life will be on the street so it would be converted to a supermoto

Get the 390 Duke and have a blast. That's a fun bike to ride.
