BFG KO2s

So a lot of reviews are coming back negative on the latest BFG's wear... Anyone have these with life expectancy input? I am going to get about 40k miles out of 6 Duratracs (including two fails) so that range would be fine (30k miles+)


Ideally, I would like the 3 peak winter rating, stronger sidewalls (two fails with stock Duratracs) and something in the 35" range.

I also noted, it seems only the Toyo MTs get you over 3195 lb. Any others I am missing?

I had KO2's on the last truck. I thought they were wearing appropriately for the weight of a cummins on it. I thought the ride quality was horrible and it felt like every time I took a turn like a freeway off ramp the tread rolled over, even at 65psi. They were pretty dang grippy for an all terrain, and I was happy with their survivability.

I'm very happy with the Toyo MT's on my truck now. I have E ranges and they're a bit stiff on the small bumps, but these things are almost unkillable. Tread life I would presume to be even shorter than the KO2's. I'm on 34's with about 30k miles on them and I think around 40-45k it will be time to replace.

I have the Yokohama Geolander GO15 in the 315 size. It's an all-terrain with the mountain and snowflake. They have 20K on them and they still look new. Unlike the Duratracs which lasted 20K.

I've had them on my truck for a little over 10k miles. They are wearing really well for me. I drive like 99% street and have noticed no abnormal wear and tear on them. They chunk a little bit when fully inflated on rocks but other then that I have been super happy with them. When I need tires again I'll either get the same tires or maybe the new KM3's when they come out based on reviews.

25k on mine (35x12.5x17) , going to replace soon with Geolanders. I ran them at 50psi, honestly, exceeded my expectations with a 7,500 pound vehicle.

Just a thought on tire height (diameter) on the KO2. My 34" was LESS than 33" on stock rims.

I have just over 5k on my 37" KO2's. So far, I'm still in love with them. They have handled everything I have thrown at them with ease. They are very quiet on the highway (a big plus for me when you are doing long trips to get places) and have handled the towing I do with ease.

With the recent wet weather here in Colorado, I have really enjoyed them and their traction.

I have used BFG since 1992 or so. I have never seen a tire consistently compete. I have been averaging nearly 100K a set on KO2s with extremely limited four wheeling on my work truck. You can cut that in half for regular trail use or even more obviously. When I pick up a wagon I will eventually switch to Mud Terrain rather then AT because of were I live in the winter, after the Dura Shakes wear out.
